Story
Majestic, a 3-year-old long hair buff colored boy, and Queen, a 1-year-old tabby cat are an exceptional duo that must be adopted together. When Queen arrived, Majestic stepped up as her protector and caretaker, instinctively cleaning, cuddling, and watching over her. Their bond is incredibly strong and heartwarming, making it clear they belong together. These two were surrendered by their previous owner due to eviction, but they deserve a loving home where they can thrive side by side. If you're ready to provide that home, please fill out our adoption application online by visiting https://animalsforlife.org/feline-adoption-application. Don’t miss the chance to bring this inseparable pair into your life.January 10, 2025, 8:04 pm

Story
Louie is a shy boy who is looking for someone who can show him some patience and understanding, and allow him to come out of his shell. Once he feels comfortable, he likes playing with fishing rod toys, ball tracks, and catnip mice. He enjoys finding a nice warm blanket to curl up in. You'll often find him circling your legs, looking for pets and purring. He would be a great companion for another cat in the home. Louie  was born around October 8, 2024, and is currently being fostered in Bridgeport. He is fixed, has received his rabies and first distemper shots, is microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org. Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours. January 16, 2025, 9:07 am

Story
Ace is a lucky boy. At 4 weeks old, Ace and his brother, Aries, were rescued from a backyard on a bitter cold day. Ace and Aries are very friendly, affectionate and playful boys. Either one of them will make great companions and lap cats. It would be ideal if they were adopted together, however, either one will make a great playmate for another cat or kitten that wants a friend. Ace was born around September 22, 2024, and is currently being fostered in Waterbury. He is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Story
Here we have "Sul" and "Tiger". They are sister and brother. Sul is the orange tabby and Tiger is the gray tiger. They have semi-long hair. They are about 1 year old. Sul's and Tiger's owner is going back to college and cannot take the cats with her. When we took in Sul and Tiger, they were very upset being away from their owner and their home. They were frightened and did some hissing. Now Sul and Tiger are doing much much better. We think they are both wonderful cats and we also think they will make someone very very happy. We would be very happy if Sul and Tiger got adopted together. We will adopt them separately if we have to, but we would very much like to have them adopted together if possible. In Sul's and Tiger's new home, children must be 6 years old or older. Sul was spayed, Tiger was neutered, they both got their shots and worming and they both tested negative for feline/leukemia/aids. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Sul and Tiger as a pair is $235.00 for one and $80.00 for the second or $235.00 each if adopted separately. No credit cards. You can meet any of our animals at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury on Saturday during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00 so if you are interested in meeting Sul and Tiger or a particular animal, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com and we will be certain to bring that particular animal with us to Petco on Saturday. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

Story
www.astdogrescue.com/cat-application   Hello there! My name is Shelton, and I’m super excited to introduce myself! I was born on April 16th, which makes me a proud member of the springtime crew. I’m all set and ready to find my forever home—I’m neutered, microchipped, up to date on all my vaccinations, and I’m happy to report that I’m FIV/FLV negative! My foster mama describes me as the sweetest little baby, and I must say, I think she’s onto something! I can be a bit timid and easily startled by new things, which means I might take some time to warm up to you. I’d do best in a calm and quiet environment where I can feel safe and secure. That said, I’m doing wonderfully in my bustling foster home! It’s just a matter of us taking our time together; I might need a little space before I come over to you for some loving pets. In fact, just last night, I took a big step and cuddled up on the couch for the very first time! It felt amazing! Now, I have to admit, I can be a bit cautious around the dogs in my foster home. But don’t worry! I’m not terrified of them; I just like to take my time figuring out if they’re friends or foes. Once I feel comfortable, I know we can all hang out together! I do get along with other kitties famously though! And kids? I have a preference for the older kiddos, but younger kiddos with kitty savviness would be even better.  Oh, and here’s a fun little quirk about me—I can be quite the playful rascal! If I ever feel like I’m not getting enough attention, I might give you a cheeky ankle bite to let you know I’m ready for some love! It’s all in good fun, of course, and I promise I mean no harm. I just really crave those moments of connection! While I get along well with everyone, I think I’d thrive best in a quieter home where I can truly relax and feel at ease. But don’t worry; that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate having friends around! I love the company, and I’m ready to share my sweet personality with the right family. So, if you think you can provide a warm and loving home for a gentle soul like me, I can’t wait to meet you!  Apply for Shelton! ##2099510##

Story
Marilyn says If you can't handle her at her worst, then you sure as heck don't deserve her at her best.Poor Marilyn was rescued from a hoarding situation in Woodbridge. She had a rough start in life, living in squalor and fighting for food. When she came to us she was shut down and suffering from mites. After treatment she looks a lot better and has regained some personality, but it may take a little more time before she trusts humans again. Marilyn is a beautiful black and white tuxedo cat with a beauty mark on her face, hence the name. She's not quite long haired but she's got a bit of extra fluff on her tail. She is pretty shy and doesn't know what to make of humans at the moment but we hope with some patience and TLC she will come around. If you have experience working with cats that need love, please consider giving Marilyn another chance.Marilyn is up to date on vaccinations, tests negative for FIV and FELV, and has been spayed and microchipped. If you are a superstar and want to give this poor girl another chance apply at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28

Story
Aspen is in one of our foster homes for socialization. This young gentleman is still unsure of people but is making great strides. He will need a patient adopter who will continue to work on his confidence and trust in people. He does like to cuddle near his foster mom under a cozy blanket for hours but is not a fan of being held. Aspen is friendly with other kitties but not a big fan of canines. Kitten adoption fee includes first vaccines, spay/neuter certificate, microchip, testing for FIV/FELV and fecal testing/deworming treatment. Story
***ELVIRA AND VINCENT PRICE ARE BONDED AND SHOULD GO HOME TOGETHER***Elvira is a gorgeous fluffy black female older kitten that was surrendered to us by a gentleman that was traveling a lot and wanted them to find a more permanent home. She was a little shy at first but has become very friendly, likes pets and headbutts, and will come right over for food. She isn't super sure about being picked up yet but with some patience and love we think she will be a lap cat in no time!Because Elvria and her brother Vincent Price have been together nonstop in a small area since birth, we believe they are bonded and should be adopted together. Elvria is an older kitten (7 months) and is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped (pending 11/6/24), and tests negative for FIV and FELV. All she needs now is a spot on your couch to play! Apply here https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28
