Story
Speck is a beautiful, volunteer-favorite, a 13-year-old, long-haired, tabby girl with bright green eyes. Originally surrendered to HART in the Fall of 2021, Speck was adopted shortly thereafter but was then returned to us, at no fault of her own, because her household was not a good fit for her. She enjoys spending time with people, and while she has a somewhat reserved, subtle personality, she likes gentle attention and receiving scratches and pets. She is looking for a calm, quiet home without young children or dogs - but would do ok with cats that respect her space. She will be happy as your low-key feline buddy. Speck has significant environmental and flea allergies which are well-managed by feeding her a special, non-prescription, limited-ingredient diet (duck is the primary ingredient), giving her daily medication and supplements, and ensuring she is not exposed to fleas (we recommend using flea preventative year-round). Speck also is hyper-thyroid. She takes medication twice per day for this, in a little pill wrap or pill pocket. Our Adoption Team will review her specific health needs with you before adoption. We will require that her adopters have a well-established relationship with a trusted veterinarian and that they be experienced cat guardians. We would love for Speck to find a home of her very own for her golden years. Please submit an adoption application and come in to meet this special kitty in Room 1.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As

Story
If you are looking for a soft, tiny love bug, then look no further than little Peter! This tiny fuzz ball is sure to melt your heart. Peter can be a bit reluctant to meet new people and will need a patient household that will allow him to get comfortable before going in for hugs. But once he warms up to you, this guy will purr the instant you pick him up and settle right in for some cuddles. And Peter isn't the first to jump into the fun and games of his siblings either, preferring to watch the commotion before deciding to participate. But he will eventually take part...so get ready for some fun kitten zoomies and hopping on all fours as he races around the room!HART requires that young kittens be adopted in pairs unless you have an existing kitten or young cat at home. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions. Rather this ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. Most rescue groups have similar policies regarding kittens.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As

Story
Twister, Windy, Breezy and Gusty are 4 kitties that were born on a driveway on the Texas Mexico border on 4/7/2024 Twister and Gusty are 2 males who are all black and Breezy and Windy are 2 females who are all white. We have learned all white kitties only account for 5% of the kitty population, which is the rarest cat color. Not only are they quite rare, but they symbolize good luck and good fortune in cultures across the globe. Breezy and Windy are not deaf, every time they hear the treat bag, they come running to their foster in excitement. Twister and Gusty are very sleek black kitties, and SUPER affectionate. Their gorgeous soft fur and loud purring makes you just want to hold them close and cuddle. In some cultures, a black cat is considered very good luck and is known for their sophistication. They all seem to have short/medium length hair. It is not super short though; they’re VERY soft! These babies have grown up in foster and are SOOO friendly. Overly friendly the foster may say. They love to be in your face, in your lap and just all around you. They are obsessed with getting lots and lots of pets. They love to sleep on your pillows right next to you. They are very social, extroverted and outgoing. They show so much loyalty and like dogs, these 4 kitties form strong bonds with their foster, but they love anyone who will love them. They would make wonderful lap cats and keep anyone that works from home nice and warm. They all have been exposed to children and do great with them. Twister, Gusty, Breezy and Windy have all been exposed to dogs and they don’t mind them at all, small or large. They are around multiple other kitties and no issues with other kitties. They would be fine with other animals in the home or without. These kitties are just all around wonderful. They are intelligent, full of sweetness (no sass, surprisingly!). They love to lounge around and sunbathe by the windows. They would thrive in all types of homes as they don’t mind loud noises but wouldn’t be opposed to a quiet house either. Please consider giving one of these sweet babies a chance at a forever home. If you would like to adopt this kitty, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, current on revolution, dewormed and microchipped. A certificate of health is issued from a vet prior to transport. We are a small, struggling rescue in Texas where we do our best to prevent euthanasia in shelters and help stray and neglected animals find forever homes. Adoption fees are our only source of funding for the rescue. Unless otherwise specified at the top of the profile for this animal, this animal is considered to be located in foster care in Texas and available for transport once adopted.
