Story
German Fries was surrendered with a group of 8 cats and kittens. He is a little shy at first, but once he knows you, he is so sweet. He will need to go home with his pal Twice Baked Potato or to a home with other cats who would love a kitty friend to snuggle and play with. He may do well with cat savvy dogs and kids.

I have good history of being friendly and social with visitors, and I have good behavior for vet visits and visiting the groomer. I will need a slow transition to my new home, starting in one low-traffic room where I can take all the time I need to adjust. I have a history of hiding, so providing me with appropriate hiding options will be best. I need a patient adopter who will let me move forward at my own pace and be able to read my body language. I have dilute urine suggestive of chronic kidney disease (CKD). CKD is an irreversible progressive decline in kidney function. This disease is seen primarily in older animals, and is often first detected on blood and urine testing before any symptoms arise. Later in the course of the disease there may be symptoms such as increased drinking and urination, weight loss, decreased appetite/nausea, elevated blood pressure, and other changes. This condition can ultimately result in kidney failure. This progression may occur over months to years and there is great variation between individual patients. It is very important that the adopter establishes a relationship with a primary care veterinarian for ongoing monitoring and management of this condition. Special diet, medications, regular blood testing, fluids, and other therapies may be recommended depending on the stage and symptoms of an individual patient. I also have a gallop rhythm. This is an abnormal heart sound which can indicate underlying heart disease. An echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) is the only way to

We are careful in considering a potential cat as a participant for the Barn Cat program. Every cat is unique and may have specific needs when going to a barn. It is very important to us that we make the best possible match for the cat and for your barn. Meet Kevin!Kevin would love to go home with his buddy Lydia!Kevin decided to show off his birthday suit for the Summer this year! When he was found as a stray, he was very matted so we had to give him a shave down so he could be more comfortable. Overall, Kevin is a sweet cat who loves attention, but tends to push himself to try and be more confident even though he's a nervous nelly. He will benefit from slow and gentle interactions and would prefer a forever home without young children. Kevin is currently up to date on all his kitty vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and cleared medically by our vet team!

Story
So many stories in the rescue world about cats and they all seem to have the same start all too often and too sad.  This stunning grey tabby and white boy is called Chester, he is just barely one year of age and born to a stray momma cat.  Living outdoors all his life, his momma brought him and his littermates to a family house where she hoped to be fed and to care for her litter born outside a home.  Somehow her 4 kittens survived and here is Chester to prove that miracles can happen for these lost and forgotten mommas and their babies.  Chester is now a very handsome 13 pound boy that has been invited inside a foster home and is being given the wide berth to relax and make himself at home as a pampered and well fed adult cat.  He’s still super shy and will hide a lot under the bed, but he is starting to come out for some play time and chin scratches.  In just 4 days he has made such strides and advancements to allow toys to entice him to come out several times without fear and allow his new foster mom Joyce to pet him and given him chin rubs.  He is learning to be petted and to trust this new foster mom.  He and his littermates are all grown up but very young and they are getting better with the litterbox training and are eating with a hearty appetite.  We feel that time and patience will see Chester and his siblings stay out from under a bed or in hiding more and more as they learn they are safe and have a promise of food and love every day for the rest of their life.  If you are interested in helping Chester learn daily how to receive love and be happy with being touched, then please email us and ask to foster him or adopt him.   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com we are anxious to find a capable home to love him all the way. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.  August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Hi my name is Dart!  Guess why!!  I love to run and play and dart all over the place.  I have the best time playing with my siblings and the other kitties in my foster home.  We truly have a ball.  We have one of those things covered in carpet.  My favorite game is to climb to the top.  I can see so much from there.  After all the running around and playing, you will find me calmly hanging out or asleep in a little ball with someone else.  I am a fun loving sweet little guy.  I am great with all the 4 legged creatures here and I love my foster mom!  She took such good care of me when I was abandoned as a tiny baby.  I am almost finished with my vetting and will then be ready to go to my forever home.  I would love a home with Harley.  She and I look out for each other.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Dart is actually in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Sometimes when people say that a pair of pets need to go together to a new home, we laugh and roll our eyes.   Not this time.  This time we have Tim and Rush that need a home that will allow them the lifelong freedom to hang out, curl up together, just coexist together in a home where they can bring love and joy to their owners.   These boys are buds and Tim is 10 years and Rush is 4 years.  They are both loving and cuddly with their human owners.  They are experienced and fine with dogs and would make the best pair of cats that entertain each other and also will entertain YOU!  Rush will talk to you and tell you all about how his day has been if you learn for even the least amount of time.  He will tell you about his day and in turn listen to how yours has been.   Tim on the other hand is a clown and will carry a sock in his mouth around the house like a pacifier.  If you have ever thought of adopting a pair of cats, then look NO FURTHER.... these two handsome boys are ready to make your wish come true!!!  A pair of Prince Charmings!!!   Please is you are looking for a pair of Ginger colored cats then email:  ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.
