Story
Meet Abyss! This 1- year old sweetheart was locally surrendered to us. He may be a bit shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—once he feels comfortable, he’s a loyal and affectionate companion. He prefers a calm and quiet environment where he can take his time to adjust to new surroundings. With some quiet chats and some gentle pats, he is sure to build confidence within his new home where he can truly be himself and shine. Ideally, Abyss would do best in a cat experienced home, as he will take some time and a special person to give him the patience he needs to thrive. If you’re looking for a quiet and gentle soul who will reward your kindness with love and companionship, Abyss is the perfect fit!If you think this guy sounds like a perfect match for you, please send in an application to capeannanimalaid.org/catapp

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Cali came into our care when she was surrendered by her family, hoping we could find a family with more time for her. She has a big personality, including very sweet times, playful times, and times she wants absolutely nothing to do with anyone (and she'll tell you, first with body language, then with her teeth). Additionally, Cali has occasional digestive upset, for which she eats a specialized diet. Cali needs an experienced cat owner, who will learn her mannerisms, respect her boundaries, and love her when she wants to be loved. Cali would not do well around children or other cats. *Cali has a known bite history and her adopter would need to sign an acknowledgement of it.

Story
Met Luna, she is just about 7 months old and very cute. She came from a home with a dog and the two did not get along. Luna did okay with our elderly cat but after his passing (the older cat), we need some space from cats for a little bit. I believe Luna would do much better with a younger cat because the two would mostly get along until the older cats energy ran out. Luna has a chill temperament I would say, laying around for most of the day, but getting the zoomies here and there. They are a little bitey. I have the records for this cat so if you were to adopt, I could easily get those to you. Her hair is short like that because the vet shaved most of it off around two months back. I think she is a medium hair cat. Please reach out if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!

Story
COURTESY POST – Charlie – Emergency Adopter Needed Charlie needs a new home ASAP. She is in need of a home with a cat savvy person. A home with no other pets. A home that is quiet and not active with lots of comings & goings. No children. She was rescued by her feeder in 2022 who thought she was a friendly and brought her into her home. Charlie got spooked by a noise and went feral ballistic and attacked her. Charlie was adopted shortly thereafter, but the adopter who knew her history was afraid of her and soon she was returned back to the rescue. Charlie then went into a foster home and was doing well for over 2 years until an unfixed female cat moved in and was howling which drove Charlie to start acting out. Before she was doing fine; but this unfixed howling female triggered something in her and she is no longer safe in her current environment. [The unfixed female will soon be fixed and adopted out… but it triggered something and the foster is afraid Charlie won’t get back to her baseline.] BFF is trying to help Charlie find a safe haven with this courtesy post or she could be euthanized. Please share this post far & wide in hopes to find that perfect home that Charlie needs. Charlie is approximately 4 years old, spayed, negative for FeLV and FIV, and up-to-date on all her shots. If you are interested in meeting her, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org

Story
Meet Bigsby, also known as Ms. Bigg, a pretty grey and cream tabby who is about eight or nine years old.    Bigsby is a dog in a cat's body, according to her foster's friends. She earned this reputation by coming out of the woodwork and demanding attention from them whenever they visit. Without fail, as soon as a visitor sits in her favorite chair, she assumes this is an invitation to get attention and sprawls on their chest and shoulder and purrs. When her foster worked from home, she was the Official Office Cat and was often the unintentional star of a few Zoom/Teams meetings; her foster has since RTO'd, which makes Bigsby sad. She is very affectionate and wants to be with her people.   Currently, she's living in a house with a few other cats and a couple of big dogs (coonhounds); she doesn't create issues with any of them, though she's not exactly snuggly with them, either. She would likely do just fine as a solo cat or in a household with other pets. Beyond human attention and the standard food, water and a clean litter box, she needs just one thing every day: allergy medication. She's not exactly 'special needs' or high maintenance; her allergy meds keep her healthy and happy.  She is missing most of her teeth, but that doesn't hold her back in any way; the only concession being made for that is wet pate food once a day with dry kibble available on a free-feed basis.    Bigsby is a fantastic, engaging older cat who deserves her own human to love her.  She is totally vetted and ready for her forever home.  If you think  will be the purrfect addition to your family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Bigsby is in Tennessee and can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.)  November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm
