Chewie was adopted from North Myrtle Beach in November 2020 to join our family. We have since added 2 more cats and 2 small dogs to our family. Chewie is showing she is not happy with the dogs or 1 of the newer cats. Despite our efforts, she is just not happy. She gets along well with our other cats and children, but has identified her enemies! We have made adjustments by adding extra food/water stations, litter boxes, different toys and a separate cat perch, but Chewie is still not happy. We are looking to re-home Chewie so she can be the spoiled princess she deserves to be! She loves playing with string toys, laser pens and being brushed. Showing off her poof and floof tail makes her happy! She is such a sweet, sweet baby. Her being happy matters more than is keeping her for our own happiness. She deserves to be loved and spoiled. Chewie has been an indoor cat only since we adopted her. She does enjoy lounging by an open window when it is cool out, but stays indoors.

Meet Bigsby, also known as Ms. Bigg, a pretty grey and cream tabby who is about eight or nine years old.    Bigsby is a dog in a cat's body, according to her foster's friends. She earned this reputation by coming out of the woodwork and demanding attention from them whenever they visit. Without fail, as soon as a visitor sits in her favorite chair, she assumes this is an invitation to get attention and sprawls on their chest and shoulder and purrs. When her foster worked from home, she was the Official Office Cat and was often the unintentional star of a few Zoom/Teams meetings; her foster has since RTO'd, which makes Bigsby sad. She is very affectionate and wants to be with her people.   Currently, she's living in a house with a few other cats and a couple of big dogs (coonhounds); she doesn't create issues with any of them, though she's not exactly snuggly with them, either. She would likely do just fine as a solo cat or in a household with other pets. Beyond human attention and the standard food, water and a clean litter box, she needs just one thing every day: allergy medication. Sweet Sue is a Torti adult girl who has had a wonderful resurrection from being discovered as a young barn cat to now living inside a wonderful foster home where she has all the comforts that a cat would need.  She is wonderful with other cats but not a playmate to any of the cats.  She just coexists in her more serious state of mind. This rescued stray came to Critter Cavalry Rescue after being taken in as a stray by a compassionate single man living in a condo in Nashville, TN .  Leo Starbuck came in as a very scared and out of sorts cat that had a lot of emotional sorting out to do.  All this boy needed was reassuring love that was consistent and some time to know what a cat loving home was like.  This handsome boy has gorgeous, gray, bengal-like markings.  He is all boy; solid muscle and all he wants to do now is sit in the lap of his foster mom and give kisses and hugs and a lot of love. He needed a place to blossom and boy has he blossomed!  He now jumps up onto his foster Mom’s lap, ready for his head and neck scratches!  Or he rolls over next to her to entice more “good boy” praise and rubs.  Once the toy wand is picked up, game on!  He can chase that wand for a solid hour!  He has recently discovered the 3-tiered plastic ball toy.  He so wants to get those balls out!  He and his 8 month old foster roommate play chase in their cat room, as they exchange friendly “chirps”.  Leo is very patient with this younger kitten.  It is so rewarding to see him thrive!  Although he may be timid at first, this one-and-a-half year old deserves his furrever home and a new loving owner.  Do you have the patience to gain Leo’s trust?  That is all he needs, a little time and patience and the rewards will be unbelievable.  Good boy, Leo!
