Story
Both cats are fixed and have been inseparable since adoption (near 11 years old). I have problematic allergies now. Toby is a loving, affectionate and fearless cat who adores human company. He loves everyone. He plays with his brother Sam and then snuggles on your lap if you have settled down. He has spent his entire life indoors but will venture outside supervised. He sheds a little so he’ll need a home that can give him personal care and patience. With the right setup, he’ll be an amazing companion, even a support cat. He loves his brother but can handle being a solo act. Sam is a quiet, reserved and independent cat who will come to on his terms, not yours. He loves to play with his brother Toby above. He prefers to keep to himself and isn’t very social, but in the right home, he will come out of his shell and be a lap cat. He would do best with someone patient and understanding, and who will give him the space he needs. He loves canned food & any type of treats.

Story
Hi, my name is Charlie. Last winter I was living in the woods beside a fast food restaurant. The patrons and a feral feeder made sure I had food to eat. My situation became dire when an ice storm was forecast. My rescuer, who became my foster mom, got me two days before the storm hit. She made me feel loved and secure. Before long, I was purring and sitting in her lap. My right front paw is curved and the vet thinks I was probably born that way since there are no signs of injury. It does not slow me down one bit and I can run just fine on three legs. This just gives me extra character and makes me even more special. If you are looking for a handsome, sweet boy to adopt, then please consider me. Are you interested in adopting Charlie or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center or Timber Drive next to Home Depot). We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application. Thanks for thinking adoption!

Currently Minx is learning home life and how to be a pet. He is coming around but is still skittish. After some time he will come to you. Ask about Minx and or Midnight (his sibling).

Story
Tula was rescued after finding herself stuck under a fence and then in a rural shelter. Tula is one very sweet and happy kitty. She makes biscuits and purrs so happily. She wants a lot of attention and will follow you around like a puppy. Tula has scarring on her right eye which gives her a unique look but causes her no health issues. She's just fine and has beautiful wide eyes. She would prefer to be the one and only kitty. Although she lives with other cats, some seem to irritate her. She would be quite happy being the only kitty and would make a wonderful companion to her humans. Story
Laney is a sweet little tabby who was trapped as a kitten. Now with her wild past behind her, she is social and playful! She does well with other kitties and with dogs. She thinks a wand toy is pretty fun, but so is a good wrestle with her foster brother! This little tyke has lots of energy, so she would love a home with a friend!  For more information and to complete an online application, please visit www.pawprintsrescue.org November 5, 2024, 5:55 pm

Ginger Snap is a very sweet and energetic girl. Playful and affectionate, she was rescued and brought to Paw Prints when she turned up hungry and homeless in a Good Samaritan’s backyard. She loves her foster mom’s attention and totally enjoys leaping at the feathers on a string toy.  For more information and to complete an online application, please visit www.pawprintsrescue.org March 1, 2025, 4:12 pm
