Story
Meet Queenie, the special house panther you have been waiting for. Dumped two years ago and left to fend for herself in the parking lot of a local restaurant, she has been waiting too long for a happy ending. Despite her tough treatment, Queenie is a sweet and loving kitty. Once you gain her trust, she loves to give head butts and love nibbles to show her affection. She enjoys being in laps and her purr can fill a room. When she is scared, she may growl but it is just for show. She is actually very gentle when you handle her, even when she is terrified. Surviving on scraps, this resilient little mama raised at least one litter of kittens. Her kittens have all found forever homes and now it is Queenie's turn to experience the love and comfort of a safe forever home. If you are ready to offer a warm, safe place to this loving survivor, Queenie is ready to fill your life with affection and joy. Let's give Queenie the happy ending she deserves after two long years. Queenie will do best in a home that will give her time to adjust and come out of her shell. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Henshaw is one of four senior cats taken into rescue from "The Homestead" at Denison University -- they have been cared for over the years by students living there, and moving forward would have had no caretakers -- and so they came into care of our rescue. Fully vetted, Henshaw is confident and friendly -- doesn't love to be picked up but does tolerate. Lazy and chill, he just needs a warm bed in the sunshine to be happiest. He has been an indoor/outdoor cat for the better part of his life and may do best going to a home where he can safely continue this habit. Henshaw has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Morgan is a pretty tortie who has lived almost all of her life in her foster home. Morgan wants attention on her own terms. She will sometimes sit in her foster daddy's lap. Morgan loves pate canned cat food and has had all her teeth removed because of gum problems, but can still eat dry food a little. Those problems no longer exist and she is feeling a whole lot better!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application today at https://fflah.rescuegroups.org//forms August 17, 2024, 12:23 pm
