Story
I am being showcased by the Humane Society of Morrow County in an effort to find me a permanent home. My siblings and I arrived as orphans, too young to be on our own and brought in by a kind citizen. I am one of the litters originally referred to as the ‘4 Tops’ that arrived in April 2024. After getting some much-appreciated love from our foster family I am now ready to take on life. I’m a little more ‘chill’ than my siblings but I’m affectionate and fun loving and - if I must say so myself – absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to find a furever family of my own. Here are my highlights: • I am a spayed female born in April of 2024. • I have been wormed, negative tested for FLV/FIV, vaccinated with the Felovax or FVRP vaccine and rabies vaccine. • I am microchipped • I am good with other cats but have not been dog tested. • I am an affectionate and fun. I also like to just chill & cuddle and take it all in. If you are interested in learning more about me, please email info@hsofmc.org. Adoption applications can be completed online at hsofmc.org and submitted electronically or you can obtain an application from the great folks here! A home visit is required to be approved for adoption. My caregivers want to be sure I’m going to the perfect home!!

Story
FIV+Meet Buddy, a charming and resilient black cat with a heart full of love and a story of survival. With an estimated date of birth of March 4, 2017, Buddy came to Colony Cats around his seventh birthday after being caught in our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program in Blacklick, OH. Despite his rugged appearance, Buddy is anything but feral—he’s a gentle soul looking for a loving home. Buddy’s distinctive chewed-up ears add character to his already unique look, telling tales of his adventures on the streets. He was named “Buddy” by our volunteers because of his incredibly friendly and affectionate nature—he's the kind of cat who will follow you around, always eager to be by your side. Buddy is FIV+ and FeLV-, which might sound intimidating, but with proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a slow-acting virus that affects a cat's immune system, similar to HIV in humans. Regular vet check-ups, a nutritious diet, and keeping Buddy indoors will help him thrive. FIV is not easily transmitted and can only be spread through deep bite wounds, so Buddy can live safely with other non-aggressive cats. Buddy has been neutered and vaccinated. He’s had some teeth removed, meaning he would do best with regular dental care and a diet of soft food. He also has a heart murmur, but these conditions don’t slow him down.  Black cats often get overlooked, but we’re hoping that won’t be the case with Buddy. This mature boy was surviving but not thriving outside, so he was brought in to find a loving home. Now, he’s ready to start his search for the home of his dreams. Imagine having a loyal companion who will greet you at the door, follow you around the house, and cuddle up with you in a comfy sunbeam. Buddy is a big love bug who craves attention and affection. He’s ready to share his endless love with a family who will cherish him. Come meet Buddy during open hours at our adoption center and see for yourself why he’s the perfect addition to your family. Buddy is ready to find his forever home and fill it with love and companionship. Don’t let this wonderful cat get overlooked—Buddy is waiting to become your best friend. Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! Story
DOB: 3/8/2015 Moxie is a beautiful 9-year-old girl who came to Colony Cats after the loss of her owner. We are hoping to find her a loving home where she can experience the happiness her previous human gave her. When she first arrived, Moxie was understandably upset and uncertain about her new surroundings. However, after some time to decompress, she is now ready to find a forever home to enjoy her golden years. Moxie is a little particular and prefers things on her terms, but with patience and understanding, she will make a wonderful and glorious companion. Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center!
