Story
Sweet Tink was found outside with her mom and brother -- a kind family was feeding her and making sure she stayed warm. Tink is munchkin size, but not a true munchkin kitty -- she is SO petite with tiny legs and a slightly smushed little nose. She is 5 months old and barely 3 pounds (very well proportioned, just tiny), she does love pets and human attention, and she LOVES her pseudo-sister Raven -- they would love to be adopted together. Tink has a $125 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Morgan is a pretty tortie who has lived almost all of her life in her foster home. Morgan wants attention on her own terms. She will sometimes sit in her foster daddy's lap. Morgan loves pate canned cat food and has had all her teeth removed because of gum problems, but can still eat dry food a little. Those problems no longer exist and she is feeling a whole lot better!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application today at https://fflah.rescuegroups.org//forms November 4, 2024, 7:02 pm

Story
Bella - 8 years old Named Bella because when asked what Mia and i were going to name her, we both said “Bella” at the same time. Bella is a mostly Black cat with some sporadic patches of white. Bella is very cautious but has become very loving the older she gets. She loves to lay in boxes (and will try to fit herself into ANY size box she sees), and come up to you when you arer working and tap your leg and look at you with her big “Puss In Boot” eyes until you pet her. She also oddly likes to sleep on her back with her legs in the air (see pic) and scare the crap out of you as she looks like she is dead….sigh. She is spayed and declawed. While she gets along with David, she would be best suited for a home without other pets (unless you take David) and without little kids, as she is afraid of other pets and little kids.

Story
David - 5 years old Named after David Rose from “Schitts Creek”, is a grey cat with tan markings.David is more like a dog than a cat. He is neutered but still has his claws (though he has never used them to hurt any pets or people). He is very playful (he loves to hide, but as you can see from the pic is very bad at it) and just like Bella loves to squeeze into boxes, no matter how small and sleep. He also loves to distract you from working by laying on top of your work. He is big on snuggling and sleeps right next to me at night or on a pillow next to me, always making sure he has a paw on me. He is very empathetic and will not leave you alone until he knows you are all right. He would be fine in a home with other animals (though it may take him a bit to get used to them) and children of any age.

Story
Sophie Mae is a 9-year old female kitty who was surrendered to HSOV on December 15, 2024 with her best friend Ollie for a very sad reason .. Their mistress (who had loved them dearly) was in hospice care and could no longer take care of her beloved cats .. And she passed away a few days later knowing that Sophie and Ollie were safely in our shelter and would be loved by our kennel techs and eventually would find another special someone to give them a good home. Sophie Mae has a brown tabby medium-haired coat with a large patch of white on her chest, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with golden eyes, nice 'ear furnishings', a brown velvet nose and long white whiskers. Her birthday is July 5, 2015. Sophie Mae has a friendly, rather demure, personality. Sophie Mae was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on December 15, 2024. She is a petite little lady who weighed 6 lbs that day. Sophie was given booster vaccines on December 29, 2024. These photos of Sophie Mae were taken on January 4, 2025. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Rachel Elizabeth for lovingly holding Sophie in her arms for pictures of her beautiful face. Sophie was a very frightened little girl in her cage but, thanks to Rachel's gentle touch, she was able to relax and feel safe with her. We look forward to the day when we can take Sophie Mae's glamour photos in our 'studio' with her soulmate Ollie. Sophie Mae has not yet been spayed, so she will be spayed in the near future (tentatively in late January 2025) after being examined by a veterinarian to ensure that she can safely undergo the procedure since she is technically a 'senior citizen'. Sophie Mae and Ollie are being listed as a Bonded Pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together. Sophie Mae especially depends upon Ollie for a sense of comfort/security. They are sharing a small cage and are truly soulmates. And with all longtime couples, Sophie Mae can be a bit sassy with Ollie if he's doing something to annoy her. Thanks to HSOV Lead Feline Kennel Tech Lauryn Hamilton for that observation (smile). Sophie Mae and Ollie are litterbox trained, and they get along with other cats. Note: Ollie and Sophie Mae went home with a foster mother on February 5, 2025 so that they may enjoy a real home environment instead of a shelter cat tower. They are still available for adoption.
