Story
Salt is coming up to being with us a year this March 5, 2025. She is a solitary girl, but we have seen her come out of her shell and approach visitors from time to time. Salt is a pretty calico who would probably do best in a quiet home to blossom into an even more outgoing cat.

Story
Meet Charlie! Charlie is gorgeous like a super meowdel. Also like a super meowdel, she would prefer that you admire her beauty from afar. Though Charlie has come a long way during her time in foster, she is still unsure of humans. She does not prefer to be touched but will tolerate short pets if you manage to slowly approach her when she is relaxed in a cat cubby. She can be sassy and hisses - but she has never displayed any actual aggression. Charlie loves wet food, her foster friends, and relaxing. She even recently started showing interest in playing with a wand toy with her foster mom! When her foster mom isn't around, she enjoys playing chase with the other cats. Charlie is FeLV+, but she would do best being adopted into a home where there is another welcoming but confident cat around. (Perhaps you have a FeLV+ kitty looking for a friend?) Due to Charlie still learning to trust humans, she would need to go to a home that is quiet with no children. She will also need an extremely patient adopter who would be willing to start her in a small room with minimal hiding spaces who has time to spend with her each day to continue to reinforce to her that humans are okay. Her perfect adopter can bond with her over wet food and continue to play with her with the wand toy (once she's ready!). Charlie is estimated to be about 3.5 years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV- and FeLV+ (progressive). This chronic illness doesn't currently affect Charlie's daily life much; however, the FeLV virus may eventually affect her health and lifespan, as FeLV impairs the cat's immune system. Becoming established with a vet supportive of treating an FeLV+ cat, controlling secondary infections, and treating other illnesses as they arise is essential to maintaining an FeLV+ kitty. Do you think you have what it takes to love from afar, and are you willing to love a "project cat"? Apply to adopt gorgeous girl Charlie today!

Story
Introducing... Rajah. This beautiful tabby girl came to TCR when we started trapping at an area with several abandoned homes... and an abundance of stray cats. We didn't expect for any of these kitties to be friendly, but much to our surprise (and dismay!), none of them ended up being truly feral. Once Rajah knows you, she is very sweet and easy to handle, but because she spent the first portion of her life living outside, she can still spook easily at unexpected noises and new things. She enjoys being petted and especially has an affinity for Churu treats. She would do best in a calmer household with a patient adopter who can give her some time in a small room to adjust at first, but once she warms up we think she will be an adoring companion! Rajah does great with other cats and is currently being fostered with one of the kitties she was rescued with. She would do well being adopted along with another cat from TCR, into a home with an existing resident cat, or even perhaps as the solo kitty. She has not yet met a dog in foster. We think she has the potential to do OK with cat-savvy children, but small or very loud kiddos are likely to be a bit much for her at first. Rajah is estimated to be about 2.5 years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you looking for a gorgeous companion to add to your home? Consider Rajah!

Story
Introducing pretty girl, Olive! Olive made her way to TCR when she was found in an abandoned house in a not so great neighborhood. We believe she was abandoned because once she was trapped and inside, she became a big sweetheart right away! Olive can be a goofy and playful girl when she isn’t taking a long snooze in one of her favorite boxes. She loves to hog her foster mom’s attention and doesn’t like to share! Olive is currently coexisting with other kitties in a foster room but can be a bit of a bully, so we feel she’d be happiest as an only kitty so that she can have you all to herself! Olive is a beautiful girl with soft black fluffy coat. She will run right up to you for pets and scratches. Olive loves wand toys and will have a little solo play party during the night! She can be talkative once she gets comfortable and likes to yap about how much she loves you (and how much she loves her wet food!) Olive doesn’t much enjoy her foster mom’s dog, so she’d do best as the only animal in the home so that she doesn’t have to share you. Olive is approximately a year and half, spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. If you’re looking for a bff, look no further! Olive is your girl!
