Story
STOP! Looking for a loving, declawed lapcat? Here she is! She will lie right beside you all day and allow you to brush or pet her soft, plush coat. She will play with a laser pointer or feather on a stick, but does not demand entertainment. She keeps herself clean and has very neat bathroom habits. No litter all over with this gal! She is looking for a quiet calm home. She seems comfortable with her foster's small gentle dog. She did not do well in our cage-free shelter with many cats and lots of volunteers coming and going. She is doing very well in foster care, and we think she would do well with one other cat, but we have not yet tested her. She is an older gal in great health, except for her weight. She cooperates with our weight-loss regimen and has already lost 1/2 pound.   We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159  Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at  540-987-6050  or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. February 20, 2025, 8:09 pm
