Story
Hello! My name is Berlin. I am a ‘working cat' which means that I may not be suited for the life of a house cat, but I would love to have a job in exchange for care, food, and shelter. Adoption fees are waived for working cats like me! Do you need help with rodent control at your house, barn, garden, warehouse, or garage? Working cats are dependable, effective, and utterly cute workers! Working cats can be an eco-friendly, humane alternative to pest management. Working cats are premier rodent managers! Although not suited for housecat life, if you keep a working cat happy and healthy, they may become more affectionate over time. These cats need food, water, protection from the elements, and long-term care. You can come by the shelter or email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org for more information about adopting a working cat.

Story
Hi! My name is Milo and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good Samaritan on 12/06/2023.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing! My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other cats. When meeting cats in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction. My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!Web Memo:Milo has beautiful thick fur with a variety of gray tones. His paws are white tipped. He got along ok with the 2 cats in his foster home and often after the lights were turned off would run and play!He will love you but when he has had enough, he will let you know!Because he has a low tolerance for lots of attention he would do best in a home without children.

Story
Orwell and Alita are liter-mates born from a stray my brother caught. Orwell was the "big brother" of the liter that always wanted to know what you're up to, so he was named after George Orwell. Alita got the affectionate nick-name hon, but Attila is a boys name, so Alita the hon stuck. They were born April 13th, 2020, so although they're past their most energetic kitten phase they're still young and active. They're both a bit skittish around strangers but warm up quickly once they're used to you. Orwell is fairly quick to switch from scaredy-cat to curious, while Alita can be a bit slower to come around, but they are both fans of cuddles, skritches, hunting their bird on a stick and fetching nerf darts (occasionally they will even bring them back!).

Story
Hi! My name is Katherine and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on August 11, 2024 along with my siblings after being surrendered.I must admit I can be a tad shy at first, but I warm up fairly quickly. I have only been at RASKC for a couple of days and have already started to show my true colors! I have gone through a lot of changes in a short time so I am looking for a family that will allow me to decompress in my new home. I am a medium-haired cat so I will need frequent brushing, please keep that in mind!I am a gentle and loving kitten who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!
