She and her kittens were found outside then placed in a foster home where she did an amazingjob of raising her kittens. Story
Tika Biography Tika is an indoor/outdoor feline who will add a warm presence to your life. She’s a tortoise shell with strikingcoloration, smart, personable and affectionate. Content to just be, whether it’s watching the world outside or closeby you inside. At night, she’ll happily snuggle up next to you or curl up on her indoor cat bed. This girl has many special qualities ~ a beautiful purr and soft meows, chirps and thrills, good manners, and atalented huntress (for those who want to keep the rodents at bay and squirrels away from the feeder). She’s beentaught to leave the birds and other critters alone. The best fit for her is a low key, calm/stable environment, more rural than residential, with one or two people whowill love her and look after her, provide a safe place where she can enjoy the simple pleasures ~ exploring the yard, hunting mice, or taking a long nap. For her safety as she adjusts to her new life, a temporary or permanent patioenclosure would be ideal. She is timid around strangers, but will gradually adjust to her new surroundings.Tika will do best on her own. Whether she would take to another cat being introduced to her environment is anunknown. Farm animals are fine. Tika showed up at my back door along with her Mama and brother when very young. Three years old, she is theonly survivor, and has become accustomed to the domesticated life. She’s fully vetted ~ spayed, microchipped, vaccinated. Her foster mom can’t keep her long term. This sweet gal needs her forever home! ##2149386##

Story
Katie has lived a hard life, but thanks to her cat-loving rescuer, she is on the road to living a normal life – if only she could get to a forever home! She lived in a feral colony, in the woods, with the threat of coyotes for over 3 years.  During those years of caring for her she became pregnant and was taken to CLAWS where she had her babies and was then spayed.  CLAWS found her babies homes however it was felt Katie was not tame enough to foster at the time she returned to her colony.  I continued to care for her and the others all these years. I provided food and water daily, any medical care, and had shelters made for her and the others. There were 26 cats when I found them all and now, thanks to CLAWS, there are only 2 left Katie and Maggie. About 3 months ago I noticed Katie had a UTI and she needed to go to the vet. I always knew I was going to get her out of there, but I knew when I got her to take to the vet she would not be going back out, she was going home with me. It was time to get her ready for forever home. Kaite is playful independent, very smart, and curious.  She loves sitting in the window seal, watching birds, and other animals from the window.  Katie loves TV, likes to play with her toys, but most of all likes to play with the sheets when I am putting them on or making up the bed.  Katie was around other cats, and I have dogs so she is used to dogs barking, but she would do best in a home without other pets at this time. Katie loves for you to pet and talk to her; however, she does still get scared when picked up and is easily startled. Katie has started jumping up in the chair and in the bed to snuggle, she still needs time to adjust but is doing well. Katie needs more space as she has been in my bedroom and bathroom for over 3 months. The sooner she can get to her forever home the better.  It is going to take some time for her to adjust to all the changes and new people when adopted, so she needs someone willing to work with her and have patience.   Katie would not do well around active and rambunctious children. Eats normal cat food. She is litter box trained. Domestic short hair, green eyes Katie is approximately 4 years old.  ##2240927##

NAME: Mingles  BREED:  Domestic Short Hair, white with orange tabby patches *APPROXIMATE* BIRTH DATE:  3/1/2016  THIS CAT IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL ARKANSAS. Local adoptions only (within driving distance of Central Arkansas) ADOPTION FEE: $100 IN AR *THIS CAT IS NOT HYPOALERGENIC* LITTER BOX TRAINED:  Yes ADOPTION INCLUDES:  ALL vaccines, dewormed, 30-day topical prevention, FIV/Felv test (NEG), spayed/neutered, rabies vaccs and microchip.   GETS ALONG WITH OTHER CATS/DOGS?  Mingles has lived with cat friendly cats and cat friendly dogs - slow, gradual introductions are always needed when meeting new friends! CHILDREN?  Fine with well-mannered children.  SPECIAL NEEDS:  soft food due to previous jaw surgery BIO:  Is your lap cold? Mingles would love to warm it up. House too quiet? Mingles can carry on a conversation with you. Do you need a hug? Mingles insists. Mingles was adopted as a young adult cat, lived in a lively, loving home for several years, but recently lost her housing due to no fault of her own. She returned to her original foster and is doing great.  Mingles is a healthy, approximately 8 year old cat with thick soft fur, a loving personality, and an adorable “blep.” When Mingles was a young mother, a dog tried to attack her kittens, and when she defended them, her jaw was injured. A small part had to be surgically removed. She recovered completely and now her tongue sometimes sticks out. She should have soft food and will need her chin cleaned after eating… but please note, this girl loves food and will also try to sneak other pets’ food! She will become a Rubenesque queen if you let her! Mingles has lived with other cats and cat-friendly dogs for her whole life. She tends to be “bossy” with other cats because she knows she’s the queen, so adopters need to take personalities into consideration. Slow, careful introductions to new pets are always the way to go. With people, Mingles loves lap time, being held, and giving hugs. If you can give Mingles a warm, loving forever home in Arkansas, please apply! God's Dogs Rescue plus Kitties does NOT transport any cats or kittens in or out of the state of Texas. It is too stressful for the cats or kittens to be transported long distances, especially when enclosed in a vehicle containing dogs and puppies. Thank you for your understanding. Introducing Leo, the charming male cat with a striking Ebony/White Tabby coat. This Domestic Shorthair feline is as handsome as can be! Leo has a super soft coat that's simply irresistible to touch. Leo has a strong, almost dominant personality, a trait developed from living his first 6 months on the streets fending for himself. He would likely thrive in a young cat household. He does enjoy playing and running with other kitties, but for older cats he may play a bit rough sometimes. He doesn't mind dogs, but more often will ignore them. He would do best with an experienced cat family, because he does put up a front of being a bit of a grump. He sleeps very peacefully and adorably, and that is the best time to give him the affection and pets he wants. This cat can only be adopted in the state of Texas and has an adoption fee of $100.
