KITTEN SEASON IS OVER! Kittens will start being born again in mid-late spring 202. Kitten season is usually in line with when cats go into heat. Nov-Feb are colder months and cats usually go into heat when the weather gets nicer and give birth approximately 60 -70days later. Please consider adopting an older cat- they are so much less work than kittens & you know what you are getting personality & healthwise for the long haul! Please consider donating in order for us to be able to save as many kittens as possible in 202 https://www.missionmeowcats.org/donate

Story
We have several litters of kittens to chose from- all colors- Tabby, Black/White, Orange ETC. Many are yet to be listed. Please fill out an application ASAP for priority consideration (link at the bottom). See why we are different from other rescues & Shelters! ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***FOOD: Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We've been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***POST ADOPTION SUPPORT It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! ADOPTION FEES: See website- https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _______________________________________________________________ ****APPLICATION:**** For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located at the link below. Story
1) READ ENTIRE AD 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end). Lucille Lucille is an amazing cat, she is absolutely perfect, even without any eyeballs. She had a slightly bumpy road with her recovery from double enucleation (eye removal surgery) with a post op infection. We babied this charming little girl through some rough days and got her healthy again thanks to our wonderful veterinary partners. After Lucille recovered from her surgery, she blossomed as a newly blind cat. She wasted no time jumping back into play time with her busy brother Marcel. We knew these two were bonded early on, but watching big brother Marcel baby his little sister through some tough days, really clenched the decision for us. These two will stay together for life, we will make certain of that. Lucille is just a doll baby, she’s got a happy and fun demeanour that draws people to her quickly. She’s quite social and loves meeting new people. She’s constantly listening to her foster mom and following her all over her home, helping her with daily chores, supervising bathroom visits and cuddling when her busy foster parents FINALLY sit down for an evening rest. Lucille is the type of kitty that wants to sleep on your head and when she wants snuggles, you best give up your plans, and submit to a good and thorough love session. She’s impossible to walk away from because of her tiny chirpy voice will slay your heart, if her darling face hadn’t already. She’s just a love. In her sweet way she can be a little demanding and slightly dramatic at times wanting food and attention, which just makes her even more special than she already was. Lucille has super soft short hair that will make you never want to stop petting her. As a blind cat, nothing stops this girl, she climbs and jumps on and off her various cat trees and wrestles with her brother like nobody’s business. She often gets the upper hand with Marcel, and he being a VERY good brother, let’s her. Marcel Marcel is a charmer too. He’s extremely curious and is always first to greet people and investigate anything new entering the house. Marcel is a great foster that gets along beautifully with the resident cats, old, young, it doesn’t matter, he’s just an easy going cat. Marcel is an orange tabby with a lovely short haired coat and a sweet disposition. Marcel is even a bigger snuggler than his sister, he’s always on one of his foster parents’ lap the second they sit down. And talk about a great purr! He will comfort you through any tough day that comes your way. Marcel is a serious snuggler that demands some under the covers time sleeping in the crock of your arm at night. Who doesn’t want a warm and purring cuddle monster in their life, right? Marcel is a quiet guy that does say very much, his sister speaks enough for the both of them. He’s a playful and busy guy that adores his little sister, it’s very clear that their bond is something special as you observe these two together. The two of them are the purrrfect package if you ask us. You simply have to meet these two very special cats. It will be love at first purr, believe me! You MUST meet these cats. If you’re looking for a pair of charmers, you’ve found them. Everyone needs this level of love in their lives. These two will be constant entertainment and companionship for you. Together they are a complete package of purring fuzzy love. Talk about a bonded pair of cats, this brother & sister love each other, they play, sleep and eat together. They constantly keep each other entertained, for hours. They are a perfect example of why we like to adopt kittens out in pairs. Yes these are older kittens, but we see that only as a benefit because you know what you’re getting with them behaviorally. These two darlings have been enjoying life in some of our very best foster family homes, patiently waiting for their turn to find their forever home. Did you notice the cute little look on Marcel’s face, and the lack of eyes on Lucille? Their whole litter has an almost worried kind of look on their face. That’s due to a slight congenital defect that affects their eyes, the whole litter of 6 actually have varying degrees of the same issue, called eyelid agenesis and distichia. What that means is Marcel has a very mild eyelid deformation and a minor second set of eyelashes growing inside his eyes. Marcel is considered (slightly) special needs because of this condition. Lucille unfortunately had another complication with her eyes that required her to have eye removal surgery. But don’t feel sorry for this little love, she plays hard, climbs everything and goes everywhere a cat normally goes inside her foster’s home. The good news about Marcel is that he does not require any further surgery to fix his eye issue at this time, just an occasional eye drop IF and WHEN he might have a little eye irritation. We went to several animal ophthalmologists, including the amazing Dr. Charnock at UC Davis, the authority in veterinary sciences, to better diagnose and understand their conditions. She reassured our rescue team that these beautiful cats will live a relatively normal life with this slight congenital eye issue. And just in case anything does change in the future, Marcel is a patient at UCD now, so he can be seen and treated there in the future, even after he is adopted. That’s fantastic news for our sweet boy, and for you, his potential new pet parent. If you’d like more specific information about these lovely cats and their condition, please fill out an adoption application. These two are a catch, do not pass them up! Here’s some more info about each of them: ________________________________________________________ ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care!
