Story
Here we have "Jerry". Jerry is about 4 years and 1 month old. He is mostly gray and quite handsome with his beautiful white markings and beautiful long white whiskers! Jerry came to us with his brother a while ago from an elderly couple who could not take care of them anymore. The two cats came to us stuffed together in a small carrier and they could hardly move. Jerry's brother is not quite ready for adoption yet. Jerry and his brother are not bonded so they do not have to be adopted together. Now let's talk about Jerry! Jerry is a very nice cat and he is very loving. He will be shy in the beginning. For the first week or so it will be a little strange for Jerry being in a new home but, once he knows his new home, he will come around and we know he will be a wonderful cat. In Jerry's new home, there should be female cats only and no male cats. Children must be 6 years old or older. Jerry is neutered, his shots are updated, he was wormed and he tested negative for feline leukemia/aids. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Jerry is $225.00. If you adopt 2 cats, the adoption fee for the second cat would be $180.00. No credit cards. You can meet any of our animals at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury on Saturday during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00 so, if you are interested in meeting Jerry or a particular animal, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com and we will be certain to bring that particular animal with us to Petco on Saturday. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

Story
Here we have "Pearl". Pearl came to us with a cat we named "Hank". Hank got adopted first so now Pearl wants to get adopted too! Pearl is about 3 years and 3 months old. She is a very pretty tiger and she is a very friendly cat. Pearl would do well in a house with other cats but it would be best if there were no dogs in the house. In Pearl's new home, children must be 6 years old or older. Pearl got spayed, she is up to date with her vaccinations and she tested negative for feline leukemia and aids. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. Meet our sweet girl, "Shelly". Shelly is about 1 year and 8 months old. She is gray with beautiful white markings. Look at her "wild" whiskers! Aren't they something? Shelly is a little shy girl. Although shy at first, Shelly has that kitten spirit and she is very playful. With a little time, she will be a super nice family kitty. Shelly also likes other cats. Story
Would you like to add 2 feline siblings to your family? If so, "Coco" and "Lala" are the perfect pair.🥰 They must be adopted together. Coco (black & white) is on the quiet side, being a little shy, but a lap kitty who gives lots of kisses and is superb at "making biscuits" on her blanket! She is also very playful but does have her limits and leaves the playground when her sister or other feline friends in her foster home get too rough. Lala (long haired black) is very outgoing, playful and adventurous. She is into everything!😄 Lala is more the independent one, but has her "lovebug" moments. Coco and Lala are both climbers and will definitely need a tall cat tree in their forever home. They also love the cat fountain in their foster home. They prefer a home with no dogs or young children. These adorable siblings are 5 months old, they are up to date with their vaccinations and they tested negative for feline leukemia and aids. The adoption fee for Coco and Lala is $200.00 for the pair. No credit cards. Story
This is "Buttercup". Buttercup is a 1 year and 5 month old orange tabby. Buttercup was found in Waterbury. She came to us VERY VERY pregnant! We took her right away to get tested for feline leukemia/aids and she was negative. A few days later, she delivered a litter of 7 kittens! The kittens are all orange and orange and white just like their mommy! Buttercup has been an extremely great mother cat. We think that Buttercup has a great personality. Not only was she good to her kittens; she is a good cat all around. Buttercup likes dogs. We don't know if she likes other cats. In Buttercup's new home, children must be 6 years old or older. Buttercup got spayed, she got her shots and, as mentioned above, she tested negative for feline leukemia/aids. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. Story
Darius is a 3.5 year old neutered male kitty. He is a very sweet boy that loves to play with his toys, and people. We recently found out that he is a bully to other cats and would do best as an only cat. He is very vocal and he loves to know what is happening and will come find you. He likes his own time and can be nervous with loud noises or quick movements. Even though he likes attention he does not like to sit on your lap. He has a history of crystals in his urine and will require a prescription urinary diet. He also doesn't crouch too low when using his litterbox and needs a covered or high sided litterbox.  Darius is also looking for a foster home. He would do good in a home to himself or in a home that has a spare bedroom that he could stay in. All of our cats are spayed/neutered and current on rabies and distemper vaccines. They are tested for feline leukemia, FIV, heartworm and intestinal parasites including giardia. They have been dewormed and treated with flea prevention.  Our adoption fee is $150. Story
Tanya is a 2.5yr old short haired petite girl. All her siblings and even her mom has been adopted and she's still waiting for her forever home. She loves to be held and pet and if you aren't paying attention to her she jumps on your shoulders! She loves to play with her toys and her cat friends. She likes looking out the window at the birds too. She's good with other cats and good with older kids. She hasn't had much exposure to dogs though. She does have an underlying viral issue which manifests in her eyes. They will get weepy and crusty when she has a flare up and has to have eye drops.  All of our cats are spayed/neutered and current on rabies and distemper vaccines. They are tested for feline leukemia, FIV, heartworm and intestinal parasites including giardia. They have been dewormed and treated with flea prevention.  Our adoption fee is $150. Story
Fulton and Parker are 2yr old siblings that were found in a sealed tote with their third sibling in a park during a summer heat wave. Sadly one sibling did not make the night. They are bonded and need to be adopted together. Fulton is very playful especially with her brother. She doesn't like to be picked up a lot and still isn't very trusting but will sit on the couch with you. She is a little more nervous but is very food motivated so treats are helping to bring her out of her shell! Her brother Parker has "swimmers syndrome" which causes the hind legs to splay outward. He still runs around the house and climbs the curtains into the windows and gets on the couch and the bed. It really doesn't stop him at all! They need a home that is willing to have a cat claw on their curtains and couches as that's his only way to get around. They have been living with other cats and dogs. They will do better with older kids They are spayed/neutered and current on rabies and distemper vaccines. They have been tested negative for feline leukemia, FIV, heartworm and intestinal parasites including giardia. They have been dewormed and treated with flea prevention.  The adoption fee is $300. Story
Reba is a very busy 1.5yr old short haired girl. She is so active and loves to eat! She is extremely playful with her toys and her brother Eli. Her brother follows her all around and does whatever she does, even when she's naughty and jumps on the counter! She doesn't like to be held but likes to be near you. If she can't find you she will cry out looking for you. She can be a bully to other cats excpet for Eli, her brother. The ideal situation would be them being adopted together or being adopted with an older cat already in the home. She has not been around dogs and she doesn't do well with kids. They are tested for feline leukemia, FIV, heartworm and intestinal parasites including giardia. They have been dewormed and treated with flea prevention.  Our adoption fee is $200. Bronx is a 2.5yr old sbig boy! He is a little shy and doesn't like to be picked up. He does love to be pet and he loves to eat! He enjoys his catnip as well. Donald is a 7yr old male. He is a big chonky boy! He is so sweet and loving. He just wants to be pet all the time and purrs non stop! He is overweight and we've been working on that. He does have asthma and is on a steroid and an inhaler. He will cough because of the asthma. We're hoping with some weight loss it will help him with his breathing issues. All of our cats are spayed/neutered and current on rabies and distemper vaccines. They are tested for feline leukemia, FIV, heartworm and intestinal parasites including giardia. Story
She was found abandoned in an old worn down garage cuddled up to her mother who had sadly passed. She has a few trust issues and is very skittish. But she will come up and snuggle with you in bed or on the couch. She’s very energetic and playful especially with other cats. She’s super shy at first and a little skittish with fast movements. She loves cat wine and wet cat food. Any dry or wet food is fine.
