Story
Gertie is a lovely approximately 5yr old spayed female.  Gertie is a special needs kitty because she has skin allergies.  She is currently on an every other day medication (easy to give, not expensive) and a limited ingredient diet (she can’t have poultry, for example). Gertie is sweet and playful.  She likes looking out the window and loves napping on a pillow. She was part of a feral colony, but was an outsider in the colony. She asked for help and we answered. She has enjoyed becoming a house pet and is curious about other cats. We believe with a slow introduction she would be ok with other cats. It is kitten season and it’s hard to find home for adults, much less one with special needs.  Please spread the word about Gertie!  She will be a great companion for some lucky person.August 16, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
Meet sweet Tangerine! This stunning tortie is a healthy 5 year old and looking for a low energy home to call her own. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, and FIV/FeLV negative. Tangerine definitely appreciates having several cozy nooks to curl up in and observe from. She LOVES a good brushing and endless head and neck massages.  Toys don't seem to hold much interest for her, though she has developed a fondness for batting springy toys around the room.  A typical chatty tortie WITHOUT the typical "tortitude", her inquisitive meows will make for very engaging conversations. Tangerine truly seems to prefer her solitude and being doted on by one or two humans. A home with no other pets and no children would be ideal. So, are you a low-key college student who prefers your own couch over a dance floor and are looking for a study buddy? Are you an introverted couple who want to connect with a like-minded kitty that will rejoice with you when friends cancel plans? Are you retired and in search of a retiring feline to shower with affection? Then Tangerine may be your girl!August 16, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
Courtesy post, please contact Laura for more information: Laucorreal@gmail.com -Tintin (grey tabby) is very well socialized, playful, and cuddly. She’s a bit nervous with new people but will adjust easily if given a quiet and safe environment. -Cow (the brown tabby) is a bit more skittish and might hiss or hide when someone enters the room, but he becomes very friendly when being petted and has fallen asleep purring in my lap many times. I can also pick him up and handle him without any aggression. -Spayed/neutered and up to date with vaccines except rabies since they’re too young to take it. -Both would do great with other cats, but they haven’t been around dogs or kids yet, so their reactions to them are unknown. -They’re very active and playful, so an owner who can take enough time to play and socialize with them is ideal. Story
Courtesy post, please contact Lindsay at lindsayhengehold@gmail.com for more information. Oreo and Megan are looking for a home.  Both were abandoned strays who are being cared for by a kind person who took them for sterilization and vaccines, and is now trying to find homes for them. Oreo is tuxedo DSH cat who is very calm, loves to be pet, play with other cats and with humans and loves to take naps and be occasionally be held.  Oreo is only used to women and hasn't been around any men, dogs or children but would be fine being placed into a quiet and calm household with older children and probably dogs.  Megan is a tortoiseshell DSH who is very sweet and likes human interaction and loves being around other cats but has a bit of anxiety with being pet sometimes.August 16, 2024, 12:24 am
