Story

Mister Spike about 1 years old who was a stray who found a way into our loving home. He lost, or abandoned by, his family this past winter. Spike, around 4-6 months old at the time, would come out of the woods behind our house for short periods at first, but began staying longer & longer each day. He finally decided he wanted to come inside to stay & has been a happy indoor cat since. Shortly after he was checked out by our vet and is up to date on his vaccinations & rabies shot. He is a happy energetic cat who loves to play as much as he does cuddling up to you on the couch, falling asleep in your arms.

Story

Kevin was found as an injured stray. We are currently treating his wounds and nursing him back to health. It is unknown if he is a true feral/wild cat or simply just terrified and unsure of what is going on. He is unfortunately FIV+. He can live a long happy life as an FIV cat. FIV is only contagious through deep bite wounds and as long as he doesn't fight with other cats, he can live with them peacefully with no issues. We will update his post as we learn more about his personality.Update:Kevin is starting to come out of his shell. Our volunteers have been giving him extra one on one attention and he seems to really enjoy being pet. We still have to go slowly and calmly so as not to startle him, though. And he looks extremely depressed in his kennel. But we are making progress! Sign up to volunteer and come sit with him for a bit!Update 2: Kevin is doing much better! He is currently being treated for an eye infection, but he is otherwise healthy! Kevin has started to beg for pets and has really blossomed. He is still a little unsure of new people at first, but once you start to pet him he doesn't want you to stop!
