I found this little guy at a wildlife refuge where I volunteer. He's very friendly with people. When I brought him home, he adjusted immediately, went right to the litter box, and seems happy with both wet and dry food. He likes being around people and is sometimes very playful, but he doesn't seem to be very fond of sitting on laps. According to my vet, he's between 1.5 and 3 years old. Based on his behavior I'd guess he's at the younger end of that range. The vet says he seems to be completely healthy but should be checked again in a couple of months. He's neutered and has a chip, but the chip is registered to a rescue organization and not to any individual. One of his ears has been tipped. This and the unregistered chip suggest that he may have been picked up as a feral cat at some point, but he's so people friendly that I think he must have been with people before. Unfortunately, he and my elder cat just don't get along, maybe because of the large age difference.

I was scared of people at first, but now I am a big love bug! I am very friendly and I love to be petted! Riley is a very sweet young man, just a little bit shy at first. He was born to a feral mom and was TNR'd at about 8 months old. The colony caretaker realized what a sweet boy he was, and when we had room, we took him and his sister, Layla, into the rescue. He will come and put his front paws up to you like he wants to be picked up and held, and he purrs and purrs when he's held in your lap. He's a little anxious around dogs (their colony was next to a dog park and one of his friends was killed by an aggressive dog). I think if it's a quiet, mellow dog with time he would acclimate.
