In September of 2022, four itty-bitty black and white kittens were found and brought to ACSKC. They were without a mother, and were quickly sent to a foster home where they could receive the care they needed. Now at almost 2 years old, Yobi has been returned to us from adoption. Yobi was not doing well with the resident cat in the home, but she is doing well with other cats in our free roam rooms here. Yobi is very affectionate, curious, and you can find her up high on most days! All of ACSKC's cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped! Meet Pinto, a 4-year-old brown tabby cat who has found himself back at our facility after his adopter's health started to decline. Pinto first came to us in May of 2020 with his three brothers, all of whom were clearly frightened and unsure of the world. Thanks to one of our dedicated staff members who stepped up to foster and socialize the litter, his brothers eventually came out of their shells. However, Pinto remained cautious and still carried that cautiousness into his adulthood, but once Pinto warms up he is putty in your hands! Re-entering the shelter has been challenging for Pinto, and we are hopeful to find him a fresh start. Pinto does well with other cats and would thrive in a home where a confident feline could show him the ropes. When Pinto is happy, he is sure to let you know as he will begin to drool with happiness, kind of gross but also endearing. With the right environment and a bit of time, Pinto is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. Meet Sasha-At 11 years old poor Sasha's owner passed away. She was devastated. She missed him so much she stopped grooming herself. However, in the time she has been with us she is now an office cat who gets full attention. It has brought life back into those beautiful green eyes. We have found that Miss Sasha loooooves to enjoy human food regardless of what we provide her to eat. She must have been one pampered feline before coming here. Due to her transition through her grief if has yet to be determined how she would be with other animals. Humans though are her favorite. If you are in the office, you better be paying attention to her. She enjoys being brushed, pet, and tag with a string. This little lady still has so much joy to bring to your home. Meet Wren! Normally we don't do bios on kittens but Wren we just have to tell you about. Wren is a super sweet and very playful kitten. Coming in as a stray he was adopted but unfortunately returned due to something called a prolapse. We fixed his prolapse and should not have any further issues with it however we want all interested in him to know about his unique medical issue. Now don't think this has slowed him down or stopped him from being a totally normal kitten otherwise. He is!! He wants attention the second you open the kennel door then any part of your hand or arm becomes a toy :) We adore this goofball and we hope you feel the same.
