Story
Lee is the kind of cat who always has to be around people, but doesn't want you to know that he needs it. He's a special little chonker who loves food and a good nap. He also is particularly fond of falling asleep on freshly cleaned laundry and sitting on chair arm rests. I am moving in with my girlfriend who has a cat with FIV, and taking Lee with me is not an option, for many other situation reasons, but one of the main reasons being it wouldn't be a healthy option for Lee to be exposed to FIV, and hence I need to rehome him. If you wan't a fluffy chonky companion for your home, consider Lee boy.

Story
This is Stormie and Kiki… They met outside as stray cats and quickly became very close to each other and are now a bonded pair and will need to be adopted together. Stormie is a very social boy who loves cuddles, going to the bathroom with you, and laying in your lap. He loves to play fetch with toys and is very playful. Kiki is a vocal girl who can be a little shy, but Stormie gives her the confidence to come out of her shell. She loves to get pets and purr basking in the sunlight. Kiki & Stormie would do good in a house with medium or less noise level, with well-behaved dogs or female cats, and possibly older children. Kiki- black female 1 yr. old, spayed, microchipped, fully vetted Stormie- grey male 4 yr. old, neutered, microchipped, fully vetted There is a $50 (in total) Rehoming fee.

Story
Veterinarian fostered kitten. Rescued as a 3 week old kitten with severe abscesses in both eyes causing him to be non-visual. Recovered well otherwise from infection. Eyes were removed due to chance of them becoming problems down the road. Sweet boy. Neutered and vaccinated. Litter box trained. Been around dogs, cats and toddlers. In the very playful kitten stage. No issues with using litter box despite not being able to see. Want to find my little foster baby a great home he can get mapped out in his head and live a happily ever after!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Teri (terik@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. About T.A.R.A. | Adopt | Volunteer | Donate Shadow is a sweet cat looking for his forever home after being abandoned by his previous owner. Shadow is a friendly, outgoing 8 year old male. He is shy at first, but once he trusts you he will warm up to you. He enjoys rubbing his chin on his fosters hand for affection.  He will probably do best as an only cat. Shadow is a diabetic kitty. Shadow is currently with a foster family, and they are doing a great job keeping  his diabetes under control by closely monitoring his diet, blood sugar and insulin levels daily. Shadow will need this daily care to keep him healthy and stable so he can enjoy many more years. The foster family can give you all the details needed to care for this sweet guy! Adoption Fee: $75 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV Combo test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption. Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed. Adoption centers may not have a volunteer present to open the cat enclosures, and we have foster homes located throughout the KC metro area. Please fill out an application if you'd like to meet this cat. Interested in this pet? Please fill out a non-binding application. Our goal is to find life-long matches between animals and families, and the application provides us with a lot of information to help us help you find that match!  August 19, 2024, 11:21 pm

Story
I adopted Dahlia in 2016 (at about 1-2 years old). She is super chill; just wants to nap in the sun all day. There isn't a lap in the world I've seen her turn down; she is so loving. Her previous owners declawed her in the front. She enjoys rolling around on the back porch but has never been a true outside cat. Dahlia is very bonded to my other cat Gandalf (also adopted in 2016), so splitting them isn't negotiable. It would break both of their hearts and this whole thing is already sad enough. I have a 3rd cat, Lulu, that I would like if she could stay with them because Gandalf is fond of her, but she never quite bonded fully. I love my cats dearly but both my partner and I have worsening health issues (we're both immunocompromised and immunosuppressed) that make it so we can't keep up with their care in a way that is good for them and keeps us safe. The fee covers an automatic litter box, cat houses, toys, cat trees, and any leftover food + litter I have.

Story
This sweet cat is semi-feral has been with ABF for an extended period.  While some progress has been made, there is still wariness of human contact and he will tend to avoid interaction.  This cat has never been exposed to outdoor elements or hunting, so would not be suitable as a barn cat. He is used to living in an air conditioned and heated building with other cats in a very clean room that has lots of windows and is excellent at using the litter box. We would love for him to have a home of his own where he could continue to thrive.
