Story
Mika was born in early March 2021 and is currently 3 years old. I have had her since but currently I’m going through a very tough time with working and college. I’m also at risk of being kicked out of my current living arrangement if I can’t pay for everything. I can’t support her and spend time with her as much as I want to anymore So I’m looking to re-home her so someone can give her to love and care I can no longer support. I love my Mika but at a loss mentally.

Story
Scout was found outside as a kitten, and brought in. He was socialized with two other cats, so multiple cats are not a problem. He is a bit cautious but he’s not a scaredy cat. If you give him some treats he immediately thinks of you as a new friend. He’s so very playful, as he is fairly young—about 1 year old. He’s the sweetest cat, with the biggest heart. He is litter box trained as well.

Story
Flounder came from an environment where he lived with about 40 other cats. He is very reserved, shy kitty who likes to quietly observe his surroundings from a distance. While he is not aggressive towards people, he is fearful. Flounder has lived in the shelter since April 2021 and is part of a bonded pair - his soul-kitty - is Shelly. They are yin and yang, inseparable and have not been apart in years. Flounder and Shelly need a home together. They are quiet, clean houseguests and while they will need time to adjust to their new surroundings, they won't be much trouble to their new family. If you are an experienced cat person, want to provide a home to two very deserving kitties, please complete our adoption questionnaire and a staff member will reach out to schedule a meet and greet. https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Story
GIA can't seem to catch a break! She arrived to us over a year ago, very pregnant, 'middle-aged' at 7yrs old, and in poor shape. That didn't stop her from being a wonderful mommy cat! Just one day after arriving, she gave birth to four beautiful kittens. Once they were all weaned, we got to work helping Gia with her medical needs. She was spayed, and given a much needed dental -- the vets removed all but one tooth! Imagine the pain she was in! If that wasn't bad enough, she then presented with a large mass protruding from one ear, which turned out to be a non-cancerous polyp. It has been surgically removed -- so several surgeries later, Gia is now waiting for her turn to be a house cat. Given all she has been through, Gia does not like to be handled but she is very cat friendly and would make a great cat friend for another cat that needs a companion. She especially seems to gravitate to some of the older & calmer kitties as friends. She likes to sit in the window at our cat cottage & watch the birds. She really enjoys chasing around her spring toy and it's heartwarming to see her enjoying herself. We do think she may come around in a home with a very patient adopter. She did originally allow pets and head scritches & still takes treats from hands when offered-- but it would take time. She is just very wary after all she has been through. If you think you may be Gia's angel, please reach out to meet her in our cat cottage. GIA is already spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. eDOB 12/12/15 SCHEDULE A VISIT TO MEET THE CATS & KITTENS IN OUR CAT COTTAGE: - Please drop us a note telling us a little about your household, your reasons for looking to adopt, and what you are looking for in a pet. ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: - Testing for FeLV & FIV - Vaccinations (FVRCP/Distemper & Rabies) - Spay or neuter of the cat - Microchipping Please be aware that we do not adopt kittens into homes without a suitable fur friend for companionship (unless they are listed as being okay as a single), and we will not split bonded pairs. Story
This is Cosmo, he is a one-year-old male cat in Hamilton, NJ. He is very social and friendly, loves to cuddle with people or another cat. He is neutered and microchipped. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations. Cosmo is FIV+, so he might require extra care, but I have had no issues related to his health. He grew up with his sister as a companion to keep him company when I am out of my home, but unfortunately, his sister passed last month and I am not home enough for him, and I can tell he needs more attention after losing his friend. His ideal home must have people who are home often, and/or other cats (I was told young male cats Born in March 2023 so he is a little over a year and has had no problems of any kind. He is litter box trained, not aggressive and enjoys being picked up and held like a baby for a few minutes. He is one of the nicest cutest cats I have known but I do not have the time to keep him company now that his sister is gone. Give him his forever home!
