Feb 2023 Puffer is adopted. Here is his adoption story! Shells is still available! January 2023 FURR has rescued this gorgeous feral kitten! Terry trapped at her “seafood colony”.  She and her brother, Puffer, both need a foster home/homes with someone who can spend a lot of time holding and petting them.  They are approximately 4 months old: Shells is a sweet girl with short hair and lovely dilute gray tortie coloring. July 24, 2024 Kristy, a FURR Volunteer, notified me about some cats living in a junk yard in Burgaw, NC, near Wilmington.  She met the man that owns it and took some food for the poor skinny cats. There is a mama cat, 2 male cats and 2 kittens. With Kristy’s help, we trapped the 2 kittens and took them to the Cape Fear S/N clinic last week.  My intention was to get them fixed, shots, etc., and release them again. However, the kittens are young and sooo skinny!  They are about 10-12 weeks old.  I have had them recovering at my feral cat sanctuary. The 2 kittens are “Yardley”, a female Domestic Short Hair gray tabby, and “Scrappy”, a male Domestic Short Hair with black fur. They started out scared to death and eyes bigger than saucers.  Now, a week later, they seem glad to see me, I’m petting and holding both of them and they are purring! They will be moved up to the house, and join Connor, after quarantine. Another rescue group is helping me TNR the mama and other 2 male cats.  The sad part is that the mama tabby is really skittish, but wants love.  She could easily be tamed and adopted out, but I just don’t have any room at this time. Hi everyone! My name is Austin, and I am looking to re home my cat Fiona. She was previously my older sisters cat and I took her in about 3 years ago. My work schedule has become much busier recently and I am also traveling more often. I cannot always find a sitter for her nor can I afford to board every time ( she also does not get along with other animals or children so that makes it more difficult). She’s a wonderful cat, very sweet and loving. It takes time for her to warm up but after she will be playing and begging you for Fancy Feast. She can be quite vocal at times when she wants something. I will take her to the vet before re homing to make sure shots/vaccs are all updated, etc. I’m sure she would appreciate and be more comfortable with someone who has a bigger living space and access to a backyard/ patio that is safe and that she can play in from time to time. She is an indoor cat, not meant for outside full time, but likes to sunbathe and play in the grass.

Bynx is an incredibly sweet lady. She is very shy and loves a good hiding spot but she also loves to be pet and will even respond to her name. She is playful when she feels safe and would do best in a house with no dogs and possibly no children as she can be skittish. Bynx needs an owner with the time and patience to give her the love she deserves.
