Story
So... funny story. We actually got her from our apartment's parking garage and immediately fell for her. She was said to be around 1 at the time so she would now be around 2 1/2. It was a quick decision and we didn't necessarily take into account how much we travel. With our busy schedules, we believe Ollie deserves a better and more present family/home. She's a cuddle bug (on her terms), loves head scratches, is super talkative, will play with hair ties for an oddly long amount of time, and values her food time above everything else. We're really just looking for a home that will value her quality of life and take care of her to the best of their ability!

Story
Socks was a stray that followed me home one day and two weeks later had a litter of kittens. I've taken care of her for a little over a year and since choosing to keep two of her kittens each day she tolerates them less. With humans she is very calm, enjoys pets and does not run from strangers. She mostly keeps to herself and is rediscovering how to play with toys. She enjoys ribbon wands and loves chasing the red dot. She tends be less tolerant towards male cats, she would probably prefer being the only cat in house. Socks likes perching in high places, and having many scratching options. She also enjoys basking outside or having a window open to take in some fresh air and birdwatch. She is fairly affectionate, enjoys cuddling up for naps and tends to be more vocal when she needs something.

Story
Anakin is about 4 years old and extremely affectionate, goofy, playful, and intelligent. He has gotten along great with our two other cats and even our dog. He is a little nervous around new people at first and can hide for a bit, but always warms up to them soon. He began to show signs of extreme anxiety when some feral cats started peeing around the outside of our house and he too began to inappropriately urinate. We have taken him to the vet, got him on medicated food, tried a variety of products to help him, but he didn’t stop the inappropriate urinary behavior until we confined him to a small room of our house and mitigated his anxiety. He is otherwise very healthy and still playful and affectionate. We want him to find a home where he won’t feel anxious with feral cats and where he can roam freely and be a part of a loving family. He loves to play fetch, hide in laundry, jumping for toys, and snuggles.

Story
Twilight came into my life when a friend’s cat had kittens in 2021. I picked her from a litter of 8 as she didn't run away when I walked up to all of the kittens. She has a chatty personality and is a sweet girl, but she doesn’t always like to be picked up and held. She will come to you for attention. She is curious and likes to climb, she also is food driven and is very vocal when it’s time for food. As a kitten, she knew an older dog, and over time they became friends. She hasn't had positive interaction with other animals since him. 4 years later and it’s time for the next chapter in both of our lives. Having a pet isn't in the cards anymore and Twilight deserves to live happily where she can be loved in the proper ways.

Story
Rue is a 6 year old cat I adopted right before Covid. She is by far the best cat I have ever had. She is cuddly, sweet, and has been so patient with the kids. It breaks my heart to have to rehome her, but she is not getting any attention and it is starting to affect her. I want someone who will be able to cuddle with her, play with her, and give her the love I have been able to up until recently.

Story
Sheena is a very special cat who has been waiting a very long time to find her forever home. She has a mild heart condition and doesn’t like to be around other animals, which has made her difficult to place. Sheena is about 7 years old now but she’s still very active and playful. She loves her wand toys and laser pointer and spends lots of time looking out the window or climbing her cat tree. Sheena has her own room in her foster home with toys to play with and a window with a view, but what she really wants is a home of her own with a person she doesn’t have to share. Sheena was rescued in 2015 from the Fort Worth shelter while nursing 8 kittens, not all of them hers. She was a good mom but when she was done she (understandably) really wanted her own space. Sheena is very social. She purrs easily, loves to be petted, and even enjoys visits from her foster mom’s young nephews. Sheena does have a temper and gets nippy when she is displeased, but she doesn’t do any real damage. Like many cats, she also dislikes car rides. Sheena has mild cardiomyopathy, meaning a slight thickening of the walls of her heart which causes it to work harder to pump blood. Her condition has been unchanged since it was first discovered and has been fully checked out by a veterinary cardiologist. Sheena isn’t on any medication and has no symptoms from her condition. Her cardiologist thinks she will likely remain stable for years since she has been for so long. It’s recommended that Sheena have blood work done every year to monitor her her condition, but otherwise she lives a very normal life. Sheena is a wonderful and sometimes difficult cat with a lot of personality. She has waited a long time but hasn’t given up hope that someone will take a chance on her. Story
Meet Leigh! She's a sweet, super affectionate little girl who was born in April of 2016. Leigh is a quiet, gentle girl who loves to be petted and will roll around in her foster mom’s lap to be sure she doesn’t miss a spot. In her sillier moments, Leigh likes to chase her tail. She gets along with other cats, though she’ll hide from them if they’re mean to her. Leigh would love a home of her own with windows to look out of and a warm lap to cuddle in. Story
Minnie is a friendly, playful tabby calico girl. She was born July 21, 2015 in a Buddies Place foster home. Minnie was adopted as a kitten, but had to be returned when her adopter moved and couldn’t take her. She loves to play fetch, especially with toys that bounce to make it more challenging. Minnie is also very affectionate, happy to cuddle and be petted. Minnie has had to have some bad teeth removed, and may need periodic dental cleanings to help prevent future problems. She is doing much better now and is a very healthy girl. To adopt her please email us at contactbpcr@gmail.com or fill out an application at http://www.buddiesplacecatrescue.org F-JB #BuddiesPlace #CatRescue #Catadoption Updated: 5/10/19

Story
Missy was born in August 2019 in an auto shop. She grew up in foster care with her mom Shelby and her three siblings Dottie, Sammy, and Henry Ford. Missy is the smallest of her litter, but also the bravest and most adventurous. Early on this tiny girl established herself as the first one to do pretty much everything. Missy leaps high in the air to catch mousies and fishing pole toys. She actively seeks attention from her foster daddy and likes to get in his way when he is doing things. Missy is very sweet and affectionate when she is not in hyper mode!  To adopt her please email us at contactbpcr@gmail.com or fill out an application at http://www.buddiesplacecatrescue.org F-MG Updated: 1/25/20

Story
Dottie was born in August 2019 in an auto shop. She grew up in foster care with her siblings Missy and Henry. Dottie is very curious and playful. She loves to chase laser dots and images, and she will literally flip for the fishing pole toys. Dottie was named for the cute orange dot on her head and has beautiful orange bands around her sides to complement the dot. She doesn’t mind being picked up and held and likes laps. She has an adorable squeaky meow. Dottie is sure to provide years of hearty laughs and love.  She is always curious about new cats and is one of the first to greet other cats.  To adopt her please fill out an application at http://www.buddiesplacecatrescue.org F-MG Updated: 2/22/21

Story
Romeo came to our garage seeking affection. I put out the word of a lost cat on Next Door, various Facebook groups and working with the North Texas Human Society. He is not micro chipped, verified by Penny Paws, in Fort Worth. He has been tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS-negative. He has his shots for rabies, Feline Leukemia and AIDS. He is now scheduled to be neutered on 2/28/2025 I believe Romeo to be abandoned because he is so friendly, I can hold him like a baby, he will come running up to me like a puppy. I cannot keep him because to I already have plenty of cats in the house and dealing with financial burdens of being injured and unemployed. Romeo is an extraordinary loving cat, very social, playful and outgoing. He makes the the purrrfect pet! In which, yes, he purrs A LOT!
