Story
Kali is a very very interesting name... I was named after a Hindu goddess, like Mother Nature?? WOW, I need to cash in on this amazing name, right?? Nah, I hope that my name, which is kind of cute- GETS ME A HOME!! I mean, have you seen me? I am a brindly, gray/fawn GODDESS of love and soft fur :) I was tied to the fence at the rescue, with my friend Zeus Boy (he has been adopted already) one early Sunday morning. We were immediately taken in by the rescue, it was a very sad letter left with us on the fence.... we were very loved but our family had to move in with a parent and the parent's dogs were fighting us and hurting us :( So they did the best they could to find us a safe place to find great homes..... now I am the ONLY ONE LEFT to find that AMAZING HOME@!! I am a beautiful shepherd girl, my soft fur is so brindly and colorful you will gaze at me for hours :D I am a young gal, had heartworms and was already treated for it, so I am just ready to be YOURS :) ADOPT ME, must love and know Shepherds- I am a wonderful example of the breed. You will have the BEST friend for life!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Name: Sunny Breed: Dutchie Shepherd mix Sex: F Birthday: 2020 Vaccinations: good thru 26’ Sunny is a very loving and affectionate puppy. Her “working dog’ breed gives her discipline and obedience off the charts. She is easy to work with. She was utilized as a therapy dog and I considered moving her toward service dog certification. However, she is a runt for her breed, and her motherly instinct makes her extremely sensitive and affectionate. She has high intelligence and also high emotional intelligence and she is very wonderful with children, and “mom” will watch them while you’re doing stuff in the house. Sunny enjoys long hikes/runs, cuddling at your feet, and mental exercises. One of her most amazing abilities is to keeping a running pace down to the second. I recommend her for a family with kids, or even a single person with an active lifestyle.

Story
Annie is a gorgeous 3-year-old female Dutch Shepherd mix. She is a very happy, sensitive, smart, and energetic dog. Annie is house trained. She knows the commands sir, lay down and stay. She walks fairly well on leash, she may pull a bit if there is a squirrel to investigate. She usually enjoys a good run at the dog park then she sleeps for the rest of the day. Annie is great with the 1, 2, and 5-year-old children she loves with. She is dog-selective but can be great with other dogs who are more submissive. Annie does have a high prey drive, so she shouldn't be with cars or small dogs. Annie is a very sweet dog who loves to cuddle and loves belly rubs. She does not bark unless she hears something suspicious outside. Annie does need a good fenced in yard or she will try to get out and find neighborhood buddies to play with. Annie would make a really wonderful companion and hiking dog. She weighs 75 pounds and is full grown. She is microchipped. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. Adoption fee is waved but the application process is not. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ and return it per instructions. Story
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED Kyoto is a 1yr old, 60lb Dutch Shepherd mix. He is in desperate need of a dog savvy foster or adopter to help him learn manners and how to be a calmer guy. Kyoto has a lot of energy and would benefit from another playful dog and some mental stimulation. He is not the brightest when it comes to social cues from other dogs and just wants to play, play, play even when they other dog has had enough. He is good in his crate. Typical of a lot of shepherds he is slow to warm up and would love to find his furever person/people to devote all his love and loyalty to. Kyoto should not go to a home with small children since he will accidentally knock them down and while he is fine with small dogs we do not know how he is with cats. Kyoto is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines and preventatives with an adoption fee of $400. If you can give this guy a a place to crash until his furever family finds him or you hope to be that furever family please fill out an application below: https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-foster-application https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-applicationAugust 17, 2024, 4:04 pm
