Story
Hi! My name is Tessa! I'm super smart and a quick learner. My foster mom takes me on adventures to meet new people and explore new places all the time. She says I'm a little shy, but I like to think of it as observing my environment. When it's time for bed, I will look for her to snuggle me to sleep. I love playing with other dogs of all ages and sizes too. When it's time for my foster mom to work, I stay close taking naps and play with my toys near her desk. She says I'm her best co-worker she has! This pup is located in San Antonio, TX, but is available for adoption throughout the US. Her adoption fee includes the transport fee and health cert. All our dogs are fully vetted to age, altered and microchipped. If interested, please complete the adoption application link below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NAF/Dog

Story
Meet Zeus⚡ * Toward People: Can be a little shy at first. However, once he warms up to people and the environment, he becomes kind and gentle even if someone lifts or touches him unexpectedly. Appreciates human warmth and prefers to lie against or be touched by people. * Toward Dogs: Is getting along well with other doggy friends at Adogs Center! Sometimes acts a little aggressively leading to possible fights when he gets to roused up during play with other dogs. Needs to be carefully watched when he plays with other dogs. * Separation Anxiety: It is unknown due to Zeus living at the Center with other dogs. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty at the Center. * Hygiene: Enjoys being brushed but is scared of having his nails trimmed. There should be frequent walks to allow the toenail to be trimmed naturally. * Walks: Slightly scared of a leash and needs to take time in wearing a leash. However, once outside, he does not pull it and walks well in whatever direction a walker pleases. Fears the sounds of cars and motorcycle by the street. * Car sick: Has no carsickness. Has no trouble getting up and down the car! 💌Special Note💌 * Is very gentle and will not bite his caretaker in any situation. * As he occasionally gets into confrontations with other dogs, it would be best if he were the only dog. * Because all the dogs poop in the same area at the Center, Zeus has a habit scatophagy. Any excrement should be cleaned right away. (Scatophagy can be remedied quickly with a training at home.) * Missing his left ear due to a birth defect, but Zeus has no problem with hearing!

Story
**He is currently in Seattle** Mukgoo is about 5 years old. He was found near an army base in Korea and immigrated to America around the age of 1 on President’s Day of 2020. He is an incredibly smart and lovable dog. He is kind and loves people (loves dogs and people). He will eat almost anything (except veggies). He can be a jumper when he gets very excited. He prefers households with another dog and a big yard to run around in but it’s not a non-negotiable. He has always adjusted well to whatever the circumstance. Overall, he’s a good dog and he’s got a lot of love to give. I’m having to give him up due to being unable to raise him in my current life stage. In no way, this is due to any bad behaviors or anything. He’s a really kind-hearted and sweet dog. Likes - He loves playing fetch (quickest way to his heart), rolling in the grass, puppycinos, ice cream, snow, people, dogs - Historically has liked lamb, fish skin, salmon, bully sticks, dental sticks, sweet potato, etc. In general, he loves to eat~ - Very social and prefers to greet other dogs and people, including dog parks, doggy day cares Dislikes - He dislikes bath but who does - He doesn’t like being alone but can manage a few hours if needed - No longer is a fan of veggies - Fireworks and big noises Things to Watch out for - Throwing up: If you let him freely eat grass, he’ll throw up. When he feels stressed, he can react by throwing up. - He can be independent when he is fixated on things. Just be patient with him and he will come back to focus on you. He is a people pleaser. - He rarely barks. He may bark when other dogs bark but even that is rare. He is more of a whiner. If he needs to let you know something, he will whine. - Not a counter surfer but can be if you let him Commands He knows his basic commands (sit, down, hand, etc.) and is open to learning new ones as well. Potty He is used to peeing and pooing outside. Once you create a regular spot and time for him, it’s clockwork. Otherwise, just be aware when he whines that it may be time to go. - At a high level, he knows “go potty” and “go poo” as a sign to go to the bathroom - He will rarely go pee or poo inside the home. Once in a million tries, a thing like that can happen during the night but he’s really sorry when he does. Leash He has never been fully off-leash, only in areas that condone it (home, backyard, dog park, etc.). He is not one to go off-leash and run away. He’ll run around and try to have you play with him. Keep him on a short leash if you need to focus on walking as he can veer away due to his interest in sniffing. Once on a short leash, he’ll understand and walk along. However, give him time to sniff as he is very curious with smells. Sleep He can sleep together or on his own if you’re in a different room or floor. He is also loves to cuddle up as well. When there’s fireworks, it’s recommended you sleep where he sees you because he’s afraid of the loud sounds. Food He is on one meal a day. If you give him two meals a day, he may not eat the first meal. Snacks though he loves. He knows how to sit and wait for food. He is currently on Costco’s salmon and sweet potato meal.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Luna, a 5-year-old, 60-lb German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality. Luna is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves to be around people and enjoys playtime. She has a unique appearance with a shortened maxilla, giving her a distinctive look that only adds to her charm. Luna has coexisted peacefully with smaller animals like guinea pigs and rabbits, demonstrating her ability to be gentle and considerate of other pets. However, she may resource guard her toys, so she'll need a family that understands and can manage this behavior. Given her size and energy, Luna may do better in a house with a yard rather than an apartment, where she has more space to move around and enjoy the outdoors. Luna would thrive in a home where she has plenty of space to play and explore, preferably with a yard. Her new family should be aware of her needs and be ready to provide consistent training and positive reinforcement. Luna is great with smaller pets, so she could fit well into a home with other animals, as long as introductions are done carefully. Luna is a loving and loyal dog looking for a forever home where she can be her playful self. If you have the space, understanding, and love to give, Luna could be the perfect companion for you. Bring Luna into your home, and you'll gain a devoted friend who will fill your life with joy and adventure. The dog adoption fee is $90.
