Story
**All dogs are by appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, Rescueme.org or e-mail us directly at shelter@hbpets.org for the dogs questionnaire*** **Requirements another dog in the home, fenced backyard*** Millie (spayed) and Spud (neutered) are 9mth old, Dutch Shepard, Boxer, Pit mixes. They came from a animal hoarding property, their sister Chili was more than ready for a home alone, these two would prefer a home with another confident, sweet dog. Spud loves playing with many of our dogs here, he has learned so much and is becoming a brave boy. He loves other dogs, from Pitbulls to huskies to German Shepard's to little terriers, smaller to larger, he loves them all. He would flourish in a home with another dog who is brave, confident and gentle in nature. From his adopter he needs patience, time for him to acclimate, a fenced backyard, no young kids they are terrifying to this gentle boy. My adoption fee is $300

They came from a animal hoarding property, their sister Chili was more than ready for a home alone, these two would prefer a home with another confident, sweet dog. Millie loves playing with many of our dogs here, she has learned so much and is becoming a brave girl, it does take her time to warm up to people. She loves other dogs, from Pitbulls to huskies to German Shepard's to little terriers, smaller to larger, he loves them all. She would flourish in a home with another dog who is brave, confident and gentle in nature. From her adopter she needs patience, time for her to acclimate, a fenced backyard, no young kids or loud adults, her hoarding home was very loud with over 15 dogs and a lot of people. She just needs a chance a gentle human and dog buddy, like she has here with us. My adoption fee is $300

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me.I would do best with a family experienced with my breed. I have some behaviors that are typical for my breed and would do best with a family who understands my needs.I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org. Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I need a slow introduction to cats. I can share my space with cats, but I'd like to get used to the idea over time.I'm a tripod! I recently lost a leg but am adjusting well and still enjoy walks. Primary Color: Black Weight: 65 Age: 2yrs 5mths 3wks

I've been in the shelter longer than most and my adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me.I'm a 1-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and an excitement for life that's contagious! I'm an excitable girl who's prone to bursts of energy, always ready for a game of fetch or an adventure. I love toys and will happily entertain myself or engage you in playtime, keeping my active mind and body engaged. While I'm affectionate and love attention, I can easily become wound up with too much excitement, so a calm and balanced approach to affection will help me thrive. I'm a loyal companion, and once I bond with you, you'll have a friend for life. I'm reported to be good with dogs, so I may do well in a home with a canine companion, but I need to be in a home without cats. I'm available for the trial adoption program. If you're looking for an energetic, loving, and playful pup who's ready to keep you on your toes, I could be the perfect match for you! Come meet me today and see if I'm the right fit for your family! Primary Color: Tan Weight: 80 Age: 1yrs 1mths 3wks
