Moa is a 3 years old,  50 lb, that looks like a  Feist/ GSD mix girl that was born on 8/12/21. She is smart, friendly, and quickly learning manners, obedience, crate training, and house breaking! Moa is personality covered in fur! She was found as a stray with her mom and siblings and had a hard start to life but her mother dog took good care of her until they came to the safety of the rescue. This girl is good with other dogs and kids but NO cats. She is spayed, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $250.January 13, 2025, 6:15 pm

Meet Bree! Shes an absolute sweetheartvery friendly and eager for attention. Bree is making progress with her manners, especially when it comes to jumping up on people, though she sometimes gets a bit carried away in her excitement. She does very well in her crate at any time and sometimes prefers to retreat there to avoid her puppy. Bree is not a fan of loud noises like thunderstorms or fireworks, and shes not keen on going out in the rain. She enjoys playing with her puppy and gets along well with other dogs. As you can see from one of her pictures she was starving with her puppy. She has come such a long way! Don't tell his siblings, but Leonardo has been a bit spoiled. He's such a sweet lap baby, the staff could not help but hold him. He has a fun time playing with toys and learning for treats. While he still needs help learning about new things in the big world, he walks nicely on the leash so can go exploring and learning with his family. UPDATE! Meet Stu! This is another long timer that we have had nearly a year. Stu is a Lab/Shepherd mix. He’s 1 year old and 55 ish lbs. Stu is a happy and friendly boy. He’s great with all dogs and the child in his foster home. He walks well on the leash and doesn’t kind his crate. Stu loves the outdoors and adventures. He is utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neutered.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact any of the vet clinics we work with, as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Thank you for your understanding.
