Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Perky 1-year old girl ready to steal your heartSPARKLE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Sparkle          Best Guess for Breed:   Feist/Terrier Mix    Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of 12/23/2024          SEX:   female   Approximate Weight:  20 lbs.   Gets Along With:  other dogs. Sparkle hasn't been observed with kids or cats yet but we can test.   Currently Living at:   the shelter, Sparkle needs a foster as well as a forever home.   Sparkle is Looking For:   People to love! She may be only one-year old but Sparkle looks like she knows some things. With her bright eyes and perky ears, Sparkle will find the way to your heart in no time. A one-year-old female Feist /Terrier mix is a delightful bundle of energy and charm. Alert and curious, Sparkle also enjoys being a lap dog. This girl has a gentle play style so small, private play dates with other dogs would be a good way to start. Socialization is crucial at this age. Interacting with different people, dogs, and environments will help her grow into a well-rounded adult dog. Her curious nature should make Sparkle a quick learner. You might find her nosing around for new scents or trying to figure out how to get that last piece of kibble out of her puzzle toy. Training is important to help Sparkle learn basic commands to keep her safe and make you a happy dog parent. What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update as soon as Sparkle arrives and spends some time with a foster. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Name:   Joyful          Best Guess for Breed:   Feist/Terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of 12/23/2024          SEX:    female   Approximate Weight:  17 lbs.   Gets Along With:    other dogs. Joyful hasn't been observed with kids or cats yet but we can test.   Currently Living at:   the shelter, Joyful needs a foster and a forever home.   Joyful is Looking For:   The warmth, love, and security that comes with having a forever home. Meeting new people at adoption events might be fun for a short time but at the end of the day every dog wants a place of their own. Whatever her past was like, Joyful wants to put it behind and start fresh in 2025.   Feist/Terriers are known for their keen hunting instincts, so she might love to chase after toys or small critters. At one-year old, Joyful is brimming with youthful energy and enthusiasm, always ready for an adventure or a playful romp. In addition to daily walks, Joyful will need time to run off-leash and play with other dogs.   Joyful's loyal and affectionate side will show itself as she forms strong bonds with her human family. Start training early so Joyful can learn what's expected of her and show you what a good girl she can be. Intelligent and eager to please, Joyful should be fun to train, although she might have a stubborn streak from her Terrier side of the family. What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update once Joyful arrives and spends some time with a foster. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
