Story
Beasley is a lovable, energetic, and affectionate 2-year-old Irish Setter mix who is on the lookout for his forever home. He's a sweet, friendly boy who absolutely adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a great addition to any family!Beasley is housebroken and crate-trained, but like many young pups, he had a bit of a late start on some basic training. With the help of his foster family, he's already made tremendous progress! While he's learned to stop stealing food and jumping up to greet people, he still occasionally grabs clothing – though this, too, is getting better with time and patience.Leash walking is still a work in progress, but Beasley’s highly food-motivated nature makes him a quick learner, especially when it comes to using an Easy Walk harness. He's eager to please and ready to continue improving! One thing to keep in mind is Beasley’s high prey drive – he has a strong instinct to chase small animals, especially squirrels and chipmunks. For this reason, he would do best in a home without small pets like cats, hamsters, or rabbits. Beasley has also shown some mild resource guarding with high-value toys, but he’s not aggressive about it.Beasley's ideal home would be one that understands his breed. He would thrive in a home with children over 7 and another dog to keep him company. With continued training and lots of love, Beasley will be the perfect family member.Name: BeasleyBreed: Not 100% sure - but retriever and perhaps Irish Setter.
