Story
Meet Mandy! Mandy may not be a pop star, but she's ready for her big debut! Mandy is a young albino mixed breed gal, whose superpower is her sweetness. Mandy is deaf. She has limited vision in one eye and can see shadows and movements. Even with her limited vision, Mandy is a super fast learner. While her house training is still a work in progress, in just a few days in her foster home she's learned the layout of the yard, and runs right outside to the same area to do her business. She can jump up and down on the yard's rock wall and does the stairs of the high deck with no issues. Mandy loves interacting with dogs, and is able to be reliably outside in the yard with the other dogs in her foster home, and she is very quiet. Mandy is incredibly sweet with people, and would be great with kids whose adults help them to understand her limitations. She just wants to hang out near her people, and will happily cuddle in a bed or couch if that's your preference. Since she chased the cats in her foster home we are recommending a feline free household. Mandy is learning to walk on a leash, but her vision and hearing impairments do manifest in her crossing in front of the leash, a tripping hazard. Mandy's comfort around people and other dogs will mean she can learn to walk beside you. Mandy is comfortable in her crate, though may bark a little bit before settling down. This is normal. Mandy is looking for a home that will embrace her unique traits and include her in their summer adventures! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
🐾 Meet Kosmo: Your Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold! 🐾 Are you ready to welcome 123 pounds of pure love into your life? Say hello to Kosmo, the four-year-old gentle giant who’s here to melt your heart and maybe raid your fridge. With Kosmo by your side, you'll have a loyal companion who’s equal parts goofy and gentle. Kosmo's Cool Credentials: * Gentle Giant: At 123 pounds, Kosmo is a whole lot of love wrapped in fur. He’s a big boy with an even bigger heart. * Anxious But Adorable: New situations make Kosmo a bit anxious, which he shows through excessive panting and pacing. But don't worry, he’s not destructive—just a little nervous. * Medical Marvel: Kosmo has had seizures, but they’re well-controlled with medication. He’s a champ at taking his meds, especially when they're disguised as gourmet "meatballs" with grated cheese. * Leash Pro: Kosmo walks gently on a leash. He might amble a bit—he’s probably still getting the hang of it—but he’s a polite walker. * House Trained & Well Mannered: No accidents here! Kosmo is house trained and knows his manners, though he does have a penchant for counter surfing and checking the fridge, freezer, and ice cube maker. (He’s just making sure everything is safe for you, of course.) * Treat Taker Extraordinaire: Kosmo takes treats gently and will even sit and give you his paw. He’s all about those belly rubs and back scratches too. * Personal Security Detail: Need a bathroom escort? Kosmo’s got you covered. He’ll provide you with a full protection detail around the house once he knows you’re his person. * Calm Companion: You’ll know if Kosmo’s feeling anxious by his heavy breathing and panting, but give him time and he’ll settle in, ready to relax with you. * Car Enthusiast: Kosmo loves car rides! Sometimes he enjoys them so much he might not want to get out. A snack usually does the trick. * Quiet but Mighty: Kosmo doesn’t bark often, but when he does, you’ll know it. He’s good with dogs of all sizes and cats, too. * Pup Cup Connoisseur: Kosmo has a taste for the finer things, like pup cups and chicken. Treat him to one of these, and you’ll be his favorite person. Ready to add a giant dose of love and laughter to your life? Kosmo is waiting to be your gentle giant and loyal companion. Come meet him today, and prepare for the best protection detail and fridge inspection services around! 🐶❤️ __________________________________ If you are interested in finding out more about Kosmo, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://bit.ly/2JnZqK5 Kosmo is being fostered in Worcester County.
