Story
Aria came from a 5 puppy litter. She was born at a rescue and spent the last two months with a foster. She is very sweet and has lots of energy. Would benefit from a home with another dog. She is extremely lonely in my small apartment. Honestly she would do well in a home with a yard or with space to run

Story
This is Benson, affectionately known as Benny or Bendino. Benny came to us via foster in NC. He is less than a year old, turning one approximately in Sept. 2024. He is an all around awesome dog. He LOVES people- and will greet everyone with a whole body wag. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys trips to the dog park to get as many friends to chase him as he can! He enjoys walks and would be likely to make a great running partner. Benny is fast! He loves to just run around with the wind flapping his ears and a big smile with his tongue hanging out. He enjoys playing with all types of toys. He enjoys kids. You might even catch him chasing his tail! He enjoys sunning on the deck too! Benny would be a great fit for an active family with a yard who would love to add in this cutie!

Story
Shelby marches to the beat of her own drum or rather the band of her people. She LOVES her humans. When we say "loves", we mean hopelessly devoted and wants to be wherever you are. She almost addicted to her people. Her foster mom is working with her, so she understands that Shelby doesn't have to be with her constantly. This girl does enjoy being with another dog. However, she prefers males and can be a bit bossy with them. Her doggie brother doesn't mind being her emotional support boyfriend while letting her be in charge too. Shelby can NOT be with cats. She is true to her hound nature in that she likes to chase them. The girl has some vocals too but in a true lovable hound way. Shelby's perfect home would be one where she is with her people (almost at all times), has a brother to pal around with and doesn't have to worry about kids or cats. She is a great older gal who is ready for a comfy couch, her routine, her people, and all that a life of rural luxury has to offer.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › As of 8/9/2024, Egg has been in the care of Pawfect Match for a little over a week, where her personality has blossomed and she is learning how to be a dog. Egg may be skinny, but she houses a big hound personality in that little body!  Egg will be spayed in September, 2024.  Eggs Story: On 8/1/2024 one of our fosters, Loren, was making her way to Myrtle Beach and stumbled upon Egg in the swamp on the NC/SC border. Egg weighed only 35 pounds and was covered head to toe in fleas, ticks and flies. But that didn't seem to keep Egg down - as soon as Loren pulled her car over, Egg made her way over to greet her. After taking one last drink from the swampy creek, Egg loaded herself up in the car, starting her new life. Loren mapped to the closest vet & in a panic contacted our adult dog coordinator, Monica, who jumped into action. Within minutes Monica had coordinated transportation back to Raleigh with another one of our fosters, Marelle, who happened to be heading home from her beach vacation that same day. Once they arrived at the closest veterinary hospital, Egg was given a Capstar and some food, and stood there sweet as can be while the vet staff removed over 50 ticks from her. Loren loaded Egg back up in the car and finished their drive to Myrtle Beach. Once they arrived at the rental property Loren was staying at, she gave Egg 7 flea baths before they stopped pouring off her body. Marelle swooped in and transported Egg back to Raleigh for some much needed vet care, and lots more flea baths. After being seen by the vet it was determined Egg is between 4-6 years old, is heartworm positive, and also has hookworms and whipworms. Egg is expected to weigh around 60 pounds at her ideal weight. While she has a long road until recovery, Egg has not let that keep her down!  - One of Eggs rescuers runs a dog boarding business and has sponsored Eggs boarding fees for life. *Located in Winston-Salem & dependent on availability. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 20, 2024, 1:07 pm

Story
Frankie was found on I-95 in SC. My girlfriend’s ex husband never owned a dog and abused him for two weeks before I took him. He has a heart of gold, absolutely loves people and other dogs, loves for walks and treats, and desperately wants to be part of a pack. The negatives - he gets very excited when guests come over and has to be crated. He needs a fenced yard or room to run. I cannot give him either in my townhouse.

Story
Hi there, I'm Joey! I'm a curious pup, always sniffing out new adventures. I love to play and my goofy antics will keep you laughing. Foster mom says I am super smart too! I'm learning to sit, and fetch, and walk nice on a leash. I'm also quite the social butterfly, I love making new doggy friends. I'm a sweet, funny, and playful pup looking for a family to share my love and laughter with. I cat tested really well too. I am a submissive boy without a mean bone in my body. Adopt me, and I promise to fill your life with joy and unconditional love. After all, every home needs a Joey! Joey can be cat tested upon request. All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Story
I found this dog in rural Virginia, she was very hungry and I took care of her for 24 hours before giving her to a shelter. The shelter is in dire need of getting animals out so I offered to adopt her and find a home for her, but I got to college in 2 weeks. We believe she is around 2-3 years old, and either a pure breed Treeing Walker Coonhound, or a mix between that and a Bluetick Coonhound. She is a sweet girl, very shy but happy, and in need of a good home. I am going up to Virginia in 7 days to get her and find her a home (in the shelter we gave her to, there is a 7-day waiting period to try and find the original owner, but it is likely that she was abandoned). Please let me know if you are interested or know someone who is because the shelter euthanizes animals to make space for new ones, and I am trying to get her to a space where she will not be euthanized or to a good home where she finds the love she deserves.
