Meet Henrietta! Miss Henry is 35lb., female, Hound mix. She is fully Vetted., crate and potty trained, and walks well on leash. She loves other dogs and I would recommend a home that already has (at least) one dog, if not more. She is fine with cats. Children need to mind their Ps and Qs with her only because chaos frightens her. Henry, Henrietta was found running around in backyards and a huge pond area for weeks. This girl kept me running up to Huber Hts. every night for two weeks working on gaining her confidence. Poor baby was scared of her own shadow and that hasnt improved much. She will need an adopter with a great deal of patience and understanding but the love is well worth the wait. She is scared of sudden movements, loud noises and abhors any change in her routine, once you have one established. Miss Henry will need a home with a fenced yard. Having said all that, Henrietta is a complete love, once she trusts you. She has the softest fur and is the most beautiful fawn color. This baby will be hard to part with and I will be extremely picky when it comes to choosing her furever home, she will come to you carrying a piece of my heart but she needs a family to call her very own, is that your family?

Feb 24: Fern has been in rescue since 2021! She needs a home! She needs 6' fencing and a playmate. She is now almost 5 years old and has calmed down quite a bit. She loves toys and laying in the sun. She is crate and house trained. She runs laps in the yard and then hangs out. Fern still needs some leash work, but she does walk on a leash. She does fabulous at Lowes and Home Depot on her weekend outing. She knows no strangers and gets wiggly with new people. Feb 22: All Fern's hair is back! she looks great. She is a happy girl who loves to stay active, she does best with bigger dogs and is a big player. She would do best in an active family, with a fenced yard and playmate. She will be a great family member. Fern is from a shelter in KY. She was being treated for mange. All her treatments are complete and her hair is growing back!! Feb 21: Fern is a sweet active girl who loves to romp with other dogs. She does play rough so no lightweights. She is crate trained and has had no accidents in the house. She is approx. 2 years old. She does REQUIRE A PHYSICAL FENCE. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs. Rihanna and Rufus are a bonded pair that were dumped at the county shelter about 2 years ago. Bald & sick, they were nursed back to health under the care of the shelter and local vet. Rufus and Ri were pulled into foster and then rescue when they had been to many adoption events with no luck at their furever home. They love to wrestle together, be with their people, play endlessly in a fenced in yard, mole hunting. They love children and other dogs. They are indoor, family dogs.

When Timber first came to SICSA back in January of 2022, he was a rude and rowdy young lad with no training and zero socialization with other animals. Fast-forward to a year and a half later, and you would hardly recognize him as the same dog! Timber has been working his tail off (pun intended) with our behavior team; he now knows some basic commands and has started making friends with other dogs! Timber loves puzzle toys, scent work, and exploring the great outdoors with his human and canine friends. If you're looking for an active companion to join your family, you might belong on #TeamTimber! We are located at 8172 Washington Church Road, Washington Township, Ohio 45458 and are open Monday through Saturday from 12pm - 7pm, and Sunday from 12pm - 6pm.
