These sessions are offered in person if local to Hampton Roads area of VA or if out of the area, online sessions are available. He is EXTREMELY fearful/flighty. Extremely athletic and has scaled walls at the shelter easily. They have lots of property that he loves to explore and even a pond he likes to take a dip in!!!! He has proven to be house broken, adventurous, yet a couch potato too. A comfy couch is a must (Morton said to require this in his bio) he would enjoy the company of another canine companion. His foster mom said he is a perfect dude. Morton is new to us but right off the bat he has made a wonderful impression. He is submissive and kenneled with Delinda who often is a little rough with him and he could careless. He came from one of our local animal control facilities that had to euthanize for space and they saw how special he was and pushed hard to find him a solution. Thanks to them advocating for his new beginning worked and here he is! He is go with the flow and enjoys the company of others (humans and dogs) He ignored the cats for his cat test, did gently paw one to try to play. Was calm around them and not focused in on the cats and willingly left the area of the cats. We are still getting to know Morton but he would love a fenced yard to enjoy all the sniffs and stretch his legs. He is a very special boy. Truman was found stray on the side of the road standing beside his deceased doggy friend (hence the name Truman) a true friend he is waiting for someone to save him and not leaving his buddy. He went unclaimed for his stray hold and thanks to a supporter we put him in boarding as we had no space for him. Truman is now with a foster (Thanks Diana!) And we have learned so much about him. He loves the pet life, likes to play chase with the other dog in the home and also likes to relax and find a comfy spot. He is very friendly and down to earth. A total sweet soul. Available for adoption anywhere in the US or Canada with transport provided

Meet Zeke! This handsome fella was surrendered through no fault of his own and is looking for an active family with lots of love to give! Zeke still has a lot of puppy energy and likes to use it to learn new things. Timid and shy when he first came to us, he has come out of his shell and is really enjoying learning leash skills and exploring during his walks. Zeke loves treats and squeaky toys. Luther was picked up as a stray in one of the surrounding counties.  He was heart worm positive and had a mast cell tumor on his side.  He has been treated for the heart worms and the tumor was totally removed.  Our sweet energetic boy is now looking for his furever home.  Luther loves to play and go on walks.  His best bud is Huck and they play in the yard until they drop and then they play some more.  They would love to be adopted together but that is not a requirement.   He would love to be your TV buddy also.  He walks well on a leash and is learning to be a dog.  He needs more training but that should be a lifelong adventure.  If you are that special family who would love this boy furever, please contact Rainbow Rescue at 757-472-1583 or rainbowanimalrescueva@gmail.comAugust 3, 2024, 12:22 am
