Meet Kismet, a resilient and loving French Bulldog with a story that pulls at the heartstrings. Though he's not a pug, Kismet captured our hearts the moment we met him at the shelter. Found as a stray, his past is a mystery, but it's likely he was used for breeding until he developed a spinal condition, leaving him paralyzed in his hind legs. When he was no longer considered "useful," he was abandoned, facing an uncertain future. Thankfully, Kismet's journey led him to us, where he's been given a second chance.Despite his challenges, Kismet's spirit remains unbroken. He does not have use of his hind legs, but he's perfected a charming little hop to get around on his own, though he does have a wheelchair that he uses occasionally. This special boy has a heart full of love and a gentle, affectionate nature. Kismet adores the company of other dogs and is always ready for a snuggle. His unique light apricot fur and sweet, light eyes make him stand out, but it's his warm personality that truly shines.Kismet does require some extra care, including having his bladder expressed several times a day, as he's unable to urinate on his own. He's incredibly patient and cooperative during the process, and our dedicated team is here to teach you everything you need to know if you're unfamiliar with this aspect of his care.At around 4 years old, Kismet is looking for a home with someone who understands the commitment needed to care for a special needs dog or is willing to learn. He would thrive in a home where his person isn’t away for long periods. Posted for owner, no ID or chip, waited stray period 15days, poor baby was not doing well in cage environment of public shelter, poor little boy was traumatized by whatever happened to him on the streets. . Perhaps his human died over the holiday season when so many suffer from hardships, some taking their own lives? . Please give this little boy the companionship he yearns. Unfortunate events brought this strong bonded pug family to us. Fani the mom is the glue that holds them together. She is sweet as pie and will always give you love when you are in need. Gumbo the father is the brawn and protector of the family, he will never let them down. Don’t let his older age fool you, he can keep up with the youngest in the pen! Pierogi the son, can be a little rambunctious and prefers to be the center of attention. He’s got an undeniable wild side, but he’s a mommas boy at heart. He loves to clean his moms ears and snuggle up close to her when it’s time to nap. And last of all we have Jilly Puff, the darling daughter and lover of dresses. Jilly Puff is everyone’s best friend and has amazing fun energy. She will be the first to grab a toy and say “let’s play”. This family lost their previous owner a little while back and were brought to us in hopes of finding them a new forever home. We like to observe bonded dogs that come in before really considering them bonded, and it did not take long to realize that this family needed to stay together, no matter what. They have all been examined by our vet with only minor ailments to address. As well as getting them on the right diet since they were quite overweight upon their arrival. We hope there is someone out there with a home and heart big enough to give this family the security and love they need.

Snowman was found as a stray before coming to the rescue. We can’t be certain what his life was like before, but it seems like it’s been a while since he’s felt kindness from humans. He’s timid with introductions, but if you’re calm and patient with him, he’ll warm up and become relaxed and comfortable around you in no time! He loves cuddling and receiving belly rubs from the people he’s deemed trustworthy. Snowman was recently adopted, but became reactive with his new owner's friend, so they needed to rehome him. Snowman seems to prefer women to men and isn't very warm to strangers. However, “Snowy” is incredibly food motivated and he wanted us to let you know that treats are the way to his heart! Snowy isn’t a fan of loud, sudden noises so he would do best in a calm home without small children. He is a very sweet and gentle boy once he’s able to collect his bearings. Snowy does well with other dogs and loves to play with his stuffed animals. We aren’t sure what Snowy’s mixed with, but there’s some suspicion he’s part Corgi due to his large chest and short legs. Whatever his mix is, he’s 100% perfect in our eyes and we hope you see it too! Please inquire today if you're interested in Snowman!
