MEET STITCH! He's about 1 year 6 months old and came to us from a family who had too many animals and could not properly care for him. He has been in a foster home for a few weeks and is learning house-manners. He's almost housebroken, waits patiently for his food and is very happy in his crate. He does have a tendency to get on top of things (like chairs) but he is learning DOWN very quickly. (Hint: Be loud!) Best of all, he sleeps all night! Stitch is great with other dogs and has no issues with food or toys. Stitch’s adopter will have to work with him on housebreaking and leash walking but he is a very fast learner and will do anything for a treat. A home with kids 10 and older is recommended. Stitch is neutered, microchipped, and current on shots. He weighs about 30lbs. Found as a stray, his past is a mystery, but it's likely he was used for breeding until he developed a spinal condition, leaving him paralyzed in his hind legs. When he was no longer considered "useful," he was abandoned, facing an uncertain future. Thankfully, Kismet's journey led him to us, where he's been given a second chance.Despite his challenges, Kismet's spirit remains unbroken. He does not have use of his hind legs, but he's perfected a charming little hop to get around on his own, though he does have a wheelchair that he uses occasionally. This special boy has a heart full of love and a gentle, affectionate nature. Kismet adores the company of other dogs and is always ready for a snuggle. His unique light apricot fur and sweet, light eyes make him stand out, but it's his warm personality that truly shines.Kismet does require some extra care, including having his bladder expressed several times a day, as he's unable to urinate on his own. Meet Ravioli, a truly special and loving boy who’s searching for his forever home. Ravioli was found as a stray, a surprising fate given his limited mobility. It's likely he was dumped after losing the use of his hind legs. He likely has Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a condition that’s relatively common in French Bulldogs, which has significantly affected his hind legs.Due to his condition, Ravioli’s ability to walk is quite limited. He can occasionally stand and take a few steps but often needs help to get around. He has a wheelchair that helps him, but he is also comfortable scooting, using his front legs to propel him forward. Ravioli also requires his bladder and bowels to be expressed several times a day to prevent infections, as he is unable to potty on his own. Our dedicated staff is more than happy to teach you how to care for him in this way if you’re considering making him a part of your family.Ravioli is a sweetheart through and through. His gentle and friendly nature shines through, and he adores human attention. Despite his mobility challenges, he has a warm and loving demeanor that endears him to everyone he meets. Chiclet was found dragging herself around the streets, unable to use her hind legs, before being impounded at a local shelter. Her journey didn’t stop there—shortly after we picked her up, Chiclet had a major health scare and ended up in emergency care. She fought through a pyometra, severe dehydration, and a nasty kidney infection, and somehow, this tough cookie pulled through. Today, she carries a look that says, “I stared death in the face and won!!!”At around 5 years old, Chiclet is a ray of sunshine. She’s sweet to everyone she meets and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Although she’s paralyzed in her hind legs, that doesn’t slow her down—she’s a pro at scooting around using her front legs, and she thrives when using her wheelchair.
