Story
Carly is 2 yrs old. Carly had a litter of pups at age 1 and was obviously in a fight with the other dogs her previous owners had. She was surrendered to a friend of ours who brought her to us. I felt So Bad for her, she was just a pup herself. So I kept her. She's very loving, High Energy, very strong which makes it hard for me to walk her. She needs a fenced in yard where she can do her zoomies. She has quite the personality. Loves to play with you. I'm not sure how she is with other pets because of the trauma she's been through with previous owner but I do know she absolutely Loves people. She likes to jump on people and licking them A Lot. I want someone that will Love her as much as we do. This is not easy but I'm getting to old to take care of such a high strung baby girl. She deserves younger couple to Love her. Thank you.

Story
Name: Dill Pickle Nicknames: Pickles. Dilly. Sex: Female Breed: Bully mix? Frenchie mix? Pittie Mix? Frenchie/Pit? Age: ~2 years Weight: A very short and stocky 50 lbs. Before OMD: Tied up to a street sign. Picked up by animal control. Diagnosed with a severe UTI and started antibiotics during her stray hold at the shelter. Joined OMD Rescue officially when a committed OMD foster said yes. Cleared from her beast of a UTI after many weeks of treatment. Key descriptors: Lovable. Silly. Snuggly. Opinionated. Hungry. Energy level: Moderate. She is the queen of daytime naps, but has also become accustomed to weekend adventures like hiking, swimming, and paddleboarding. She deserves a good walk and some fetch almost every day. She’s also participated in dog sports and has loved them! What we love: She’s a snuggler. She’s an adventurer. She’s a comedian. What she loves: Food. Lovins. Naps. All the gross treats (chicken feet, fish skin, bully sticks, trachea, pig ears, marrow bone, etc.). Nylabones/Benebones. What makes us laugh: Her uncoordinated play style. Her fondness for laying on her back and sticking all four paws straight in the air. The fact that at night she wants to be breathing the same cubic inch of air as you. #BedtimeBuddy Don’t be alarmed: She has pterodactyl blood running through her veins. Her excited screech is really something to take in. It’s harmless though (think very excited Frenchie mix...IYKYK) and she'll tell you she's working on it but that's still to be determined. Also working on controlling her wiggley, uncoordinated body when she's excited (ie: when she sees foster mom after a full day at the vet). What she knows: Sit. Drop it. Come. What she’s working on: Taking treats less piranha-like. Being a tad less mouthy when her humans get her all riled up. Keeping four on the floor. House-trained: Yes! Dogs: Sure! She’s fostered with two male dogs now and has done well, and has also met female dogs. She has a rough (and sometimes vocal) Bully play style. She could be fine as a solo gal as long as her family is committed to taking her on adventures! Cats: Not tested. Kids: 8+ Sturdy ones should be good. She will steal food out of their hands and probably take the plate too. Crate-trained: Beautifully! Happy to take a treat and wander into her crate. She’ll wait in her crate for her meals. In the words of her foster mom: She's an idiot and I love her. Dill is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interesting in adopting her, please complete an application from omdrescue.org
