Despite his robust stature, this little guy has a story that tugs at the heartstrings. Hondo found himself in search of a new home due to a change in family dynamics. Though deeply loved by his previous family, the addition of grandchildren brought unforeseen challenges. Hondo's gentle nature shone through, yet he struggled with the youngest grandchild, finding their exuberance a bit overwhelming. Regrettably, in a moment of stress, Hondo reacted, causing concern for everyone involved. Understanding that Hondo deserved peace and happiness, his devoted family made the difficult decision to surrender him, believing it was in his best interest to find a more suitable environment. Despite this, Hondo's spirit remains resilient and loving. With his signature bat-like ears and soulful eyes, he embodies loyalty and affection. Now seeking a new chapter in his life, Hondo is ready to share his boundless love and bring joy to a family that understands his needs and cherishes his unique personality. He was born around 11/17/2023, weighs around 24 pounds and is a complete love bug. This dog would be an excellent candidate for a service dog. Could your home be the loving haven where Hondo can thrive and shine once again? Hondo has been fully vetted, to include receiving a ProHeart 6 for six months of heartworm protection. His adoption fee is $600. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225 . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
