Story
MEET KARMA: Introducing Karma, a sweet and affectionate 5 year old French Bulldog weighing 28 lbs! This lovely girl was surrendered by her owner due to personal health issues and is now looking for a loving family to call her own!  Karma is a gentle and loving girl. She has done well with other dogs in public settings, however she can be very protective of her toys and feels that ALL the toys are hers - therefore she would likely do best in a home as an only dog or with another dog that doesn't like toys and that is willing to allow Karma to be the center of attention. This sweet girl enjoys playing with toys and loves to embark on car rides with her favorite humans. She has had no issues with cats. Having lived with children in the past, she brings a warm, friendly disposition that makes her great for families with dog-savvy children. She would really love to sleep in bed with her people if at all possible.  Karma is completely house trained and is crate trained. She knows some commands, including "sit," and is motivated by food and treats, making her eager to learn! She is looking for a fenced yard where she can safely explore and play. Experience with brachycephalic breeds is appreciated to ensure her health and comfort. She also has some food sensitivities and seasonal allergies that will need to be monitored (she has undergone a full allergy panel to determine her tolerance to various food and environmental elements and everything is very manageable). Karma is seeking a family that can give her the love and attention she deserves, helping her feel safe and cherished in her new home. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this delightful girl, Karma can’t wait to meet you!  Apply today to make Karma a part of your family and give her the loving forever home she deserves! We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

***Oso is in a foster home, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Such a snuggle bear! Oso is estimated to be about 5 years old and weighs 23 pounds, but he does need to gain a few pounds. Here are some nice facts about him from his foster mom: Sweet Affectionate - he'll lick your face if you make kissy noises Gets along with dogs, doesn't want to play with his foster sister, but he likes to cuddle with her and tolerant of her enthusiastic attempts to play Loves to chase tennis balls Very skinny right now Agile, he can climb like a little goat Loves to be with you but will also play with his toys by himself Working on crate and house training Working on commands, will sit for a cookie (kibble) Enjoys a sound machine to soothe him when he sleeps Adventurous, loves a good walk or car ride Pretty mellow right now Needs a home where any children are at least 8 years old If you are interested in Oso and are at least 21 years old, fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
This beautiful girl came to us when her owner moved to Tennessee and was unable to find a place to live that allowed pets. Both Opal and her owner were heartbroken. Opal is a one and a half year old purebred white and fawn French bulldog. She weighs 22 pounds and she is now spayed, up-to-date on required vaccines, heartworm tested negative and micro chipped. She is a healthy little girl looking for her forever home. She is house trained, and she gets along ok with other dogs, but definitely wants to be the center of attention so she would do well with another laid-back dog or as an only dog. She is great with kids. If you would like to be sweet Opal’s hero, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com and we will send our information and application. PLEASE NOTE THAT A LOT OF OUR RESPONSES GO TO JUNK MAIL SO IF YOU DO NOT SEE A RESPONSE FROM US, PLEASE CHECK YOUR JUNK/SPAM FOLDER.
