IFE AND LEROY COME AS A PAIR. Leroy and Ife are 2 year old “twins”. They were both bought from an ethical breeder and share the same parents. Ife is a sassy and independent girl. Ife is stubborn but her cute butt makes up for it. She loves playing with her brother and loves cuddles. She does have some food guarding issues and has a small excess skin growth on her eye but does not need any special care. Ife and Leroy need a home that can provide them with adequate mental and physical stimulation. A home that prioritizes their needs, health, and will strive to make sure they are the most loved dogs in the world.

Ollie is a half English half French bulldog that is almost 7 years old. He is very sweet and loves to be with people. He would be best without other animals, as he has a lot of energy around them. He can be aggressive around people he does not know and is protective of his owners. He would benefit from a fenced in yard with a higher fence, as he tries to get over the fence. He would also be best without little kids, as he has a lot of energy around them too. He would do best in a home with fewer people and someone who is home with him for most of the day.

Frankie is a 4 year old French bulldog, massif mix. She looks like a puppy massif. She is a sweetheart, as long as she is the only pet. Great with kids, recommend 5 or older and love her owner. She is potty trained and loves walks, however is happy hanging out at home. She needs to be the only pet and does not like other dogs. She is up to date on shots, has been fixed. Recently had surgery due to swallowing a rope, has recovered excellent with no known long term problems. Recommend bones and hard toys. No stuff animals. If you are looking for a calm dog that loves to hang out in the couch and watch TV this is your girl.

This beautiful girl came to us when her owner moved to Tennessee and was unable to find a place to live that allowed pets. Both Opal and her owner were heartbroken. Opal is a one and a half year old purebred white and fawn French bulldog. She weighs 22 pounds and she is now spayed, up-to-date on required vaccines, heartworm tested negative and micro chipped. She is a healthy little girl looking for her forever home. She is house trained, and she gets along ok with other dogs, but definitely wants to be the center of attention so she would do well with another laid-back dog or as an only dog. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi – my name is Malaga and I hope my initial shyness doesn’t turn you away from adopting me.  You see, once I warm up to you and feel safe, my goofy personality comes out to play.  Although I am very skittish, I am also very submissive.  I never show any aggression or bite.  In fact, I have a 5-year old friend here at my foster home and I don’t mind her.  Due to my skittish nature, I do need a fenced yard.  It’s just best for all of us that way so I don’t get away. The fenced yard has also helped with my potty training – with a good routine I am doing great. We are also working on crate training and I am a superstar! While I’m good with other dogs, I don’t show much interest in them – I am just a mellow gal! I don’t bark often (usually just when suuuuper excited when you come home).  I’ll even manage a few zoomies when you return just for show.  And if you tell me to “lay down”, I am smart enough to know that’s when I need to lay on my bed.  Just don’t stand/walk behind me (remember that skittish thing I have?),  I like to be the one in the caboose section.  I have learned SO much from having another dog in my foster home that I do kindly ask for one in my forever.  They have been so instrumental in teaching me how to dog and cuddle, play, wrestle, etc! Overall, I’m a chill dog.  Sleeping/naps are what I do the most. We are working leash walks and I am a little alarmed with the pull of the leash, but we are practicing!   If I sound like a good match for you, that’s wonderful!  Until I hear, I’ll just stay here napping and gnawing on bones. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.     Bulldogs are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure the breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average bulldog owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs.     Bulldogs are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for bulldogs usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.
