Story
Peach is a very sweet 4 yr old red Merle Frenchie.  She is spayed, housebroken, and crate trained.  She loves her person and also good with other dogs and children, however does growl like a frenchie if she has a toy or food taken, but hasn't acted when that happened.  Because of this, Peach she will require a meet and greet in the adoptors home if they have other dogs to determine reactivity reactions for both. She loves to play and is vocal when playing.   If you are interested in meeting her, put in your application today! NY AG/MKTS RR 363 Peach is being fostered in BuffaloPeach's adoption donation is $500

Story
The Smith-Kinley transport came to us from Niagara Falls!  Joyful Rescues feels strongly that, because of the drastic dog overpopulation problem that resulted due to human behavior during the pandemic, that we  must do the responsible thing and focus our efforts in our own western NY region.  The population problem has also created an environment ripe for increased animal hoarding when good hearted humans take on more than they have the resources to care for them which is the case for the 9 dogs and 3 cats that arrived here in pretty rough shape.  A few of the dogs have no teeth and the others will need a dental, which we will do for them, and with this much neglect they will likely need a second dental in the near future so we want to be sure, if you choose to open your home to one of them, that you will be prepared for this cost.  Everyone's nails were overgrown, and the longer haired ones were terribly matted and even had some twigs embedded in the mats.  Any donations toward their care would surely be appreciated.  Some of them are a bit shy at first, but they've been through a lot and we feel given a bit of time they will be the loves of your life! Maude was born about November 21, 2015 and weighs about ____ lbs.  Maude is terribly sweet and is loving the human attention.  She is extremely good with the other dogs and the cats and did very well on the two-hour car ride here. We don't know about house training and until we can update with that information, we want to let you know there will likely be some work in that area and potty floor pads are always a good idea for these tiny dogs.  We have noticed some age appropriate cloudiness/nuclear sclerosis in her eyes vet notes indicate that she had a nose job (stenotic nares) in 2019, there was once a dog scuffle that resulted in an ear hematoma that resolved on its own, and there is a pee size hairless mass that was fine needle aspirated that was determined to likely be a benign growth. and we'd like to let you know about this which we can't put into layman's terms so maybe talk to your vet.  'Right side inguinal mammary gland 1-2 cm long 2-3 mm tick cord like possible nodule not appreciable on the contralateral side'.  So, this is Maude and she's been wonderful with all of us, yet we did see some high value treat possessiveness to another dog.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_450.00_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html.
