Story
Coco came to us from a friend of a friend in Alanta. She acquired him from the owner who was unable to care for him. She found out she was having a baby and no longer could take care of him, 1st owner about 6.5 years. 2nd owner about 4.5 months so we are the third owner. My wife out walking him when he spotted another dog and drugged to the ground. We live in a 55 plus park where there is all kinds of dogs, Coco is hi energy and needs space. He is well mannered when left alone and respects your home. I would not want him to get loose and attack another dog. I think he is deserving of a home that can give him the proper environment. Myu name is John Thanks

Story
MEET MURPHY - located in ORANGE CITY, FL - Volusia County, FL (4 hrs. north of Broward) This handsome fella WAS DUMPED in a wooded area in NW Volusia County in Florida - He is about 6 months old and only weighs about 47 lbs. (His weight should be about 50 lbs.) He had been seen wandering on the land for a couple weeks before he approached the human. He was taken to a vet and was is in great shape - He has been thoroughly vetted now, put on flea/tick & heartworm prevention and has JUST been neutered and chipped so he is READY for his new forever home!     He is in a foster home and is adjusting well to people, walks well on a leash and loves his TOYS!  He is housebroken, hardly ever barks - and loves to play!  At this time, we are NOT recommending a home with small children because when he is playing, he likes to 'play bite' your hand.  Doesn't bite, doesn't break skin but for a small person, it could be scary  He is still a little 'reactive' when he meets other dogs but since he is so young - care and training should resolve this.   Adoption fee $350 If you are interested - please email for an application: info@gratefulpaws.org NOTE: Adoption fees are applied towards the vet bill: exam, blood tests, vaccinations, fecal, worming, spay/neuter, and microchip. There is rarely anything left over, but if that happens, the monies get applied to the next or previous pet - who may have had to have an x-ray, be groomed or have a dental.August 21, 2024, 12:12 am

Story
Meet Vinnie, the clever and charming German Shepherd! This smart cookie is a treat-lover`s dream, and he`ll do just about anything for a tasty reward. He`s already mastered the `sit` command with ease, and we`re sure he`ll learn many more tricks with patience and practice. However, Vinnie does take some time to warm up to new people, so it`s best to give him a little space to get to know you. Once he`s comfortable, he`ll be your loyal companion and best friend!Important to note: Vinnie is not suitable for homes with small children due to his high-energy and flighty nature. But don`t worry, he`ll be a great fit for an experienced family or individual who can provide him with the love and attention he deserves. He would also do best as the only dog in your household.Vinnie is available by appointment only, please contact the shelter to make arrangements to meet him.

Story
Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
