She also has some separation anxiety and can be mildly destructive in the house when left alone, she loves her chew toys and does well when given something appropriate to occupy her when alone. This super sweet, incredibly smart girl was abandoned by her original owner (one of my neighbors). I rescued her about 1wks ago after realizing she was tied to a tree and abandoned! She howled for 2 days straight so when I went to talk to the neighbor I was met with the shocking surprise that they had moved out. I am desperately looking for a new home for her! I have 6 dogs myself and unfortunately can’t keep her. She’s been amazing with my dogs and my kids and even though she look mean in pics she is anything but that and seeks love. She is very independent and incredibly smart. Since we took her in my sons has already trained her on how to sit and lay down. I made it my mission to find her a new home after several attempts of reaching a rescue and no response or luck from any of them. I don’t want to put her in a shelter where she could be euthenized. I know that she was a puppy of a litter of 10 my neighbors dogs had, she’s 1 y/o & her mom was German shepherd but unsure of the dad.

Pulls excessively on leash. Knows `sit`.Would benefit from prong collar & properly conditioned to it.No resource gaurding noted. Only tested on leash with other dogs, but appeared neutral. Is food motivated, likes kongs and puzzle bowls, needs plenty of mental enrichment. Maya does need boundaries and dog training at her new home. Recommend experienced home/handlers.
