Story
Hi! I'm Jeffrey! I'm looking for a very special home willing to train me on house training and the indoor lifestyle. I've spent my entire life living outside in a pen. So, I don't have experience with other animals or living inside a house. I am a little anxious when meeting new people, but once I warm up, I'll be your best friend! I am loyal and very loving! Jeffery is a 7-year-old, 78 lb, German Shepard looking for his forever family. He is UTD and will be neutered by the time he is adopted. Jeffery is low energy and would love a family who will understand him and be willing to work with him while transitioning into an indoor dog life. Due to the limited history it is unknown if he is good around cats, dogs, or kids. In order to set him up for success, an experienced home with no kids or pets that is dedicated to helping him learn to socialize is needed. We would NOT be interested in placing Jeffrey in another outdoor living situation - at his age and with the weather in Florida, he deserves a roof over his head. We would be open to placement in a "shop dog" type scenario if he had a climate controlled shop/garage or barn to relax in and escape the elements.  Adoption requirements are as such: No other pets  No kids under 16 due to limited history Experience with undersocialzied/anxious pups Not a first time dog owner No apts/condos Experience with large dogs   Jeffrey has to find his new forever home because his owner passed away and he's currently being cared for by his owner's grandson. Please note, Jeffrey is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee WAIVED to an experienced home. ##1656808##

Story
Alpha is a beautiful two year old German Shepherd, registered with AKC PAL. A typical shepherd, she can be initially aloof with new people but is very friendly and loves to snuggle as soon as she has sniffed you a bit. She is housebroken and well behaved at home, and loves snuggling up for some TV time after training sessions. Alpha is fully crate trained but enjoys the freedom of being out all day. Her favorite thing in the whole wide world is her tennis ball. She thrives in an energetic environment and enjoys obedience training, and may be too active for younger children, but a wonderful addition to a home with children aged 12 and up. She does get along with male dogs but she can be bossy and has struggled previously to share her home with another bossy female dog. She does respond well to corrections, though she can be a bit pushy at times. She would do great as an only dog with her person and her ball, but could also do well with another dog with the right personality (preferably a male medium-large dog).  Adoption fee $150, spayed and current on vaccines. Alpha is one of three 2 year old female German Shepherds from the same litter. We are looking for adopters for all three sisters, who must be placed separately from one another.  ##2107688##

Story
Sasha is a sweet, beautiful 2 year old female German Shepherd dog. She loves hugs and kisses and is housebroken, incredibly well trained, and well behaved in the home. Sasha excels at recall, sitting, and staying on command, and is a loyal, joyful companion. She has no fears or reactivity issues, and is fully leash, crate, and house trained. Sasha loves daily training sessions and thrives on routine, and enjoys running and playing with her balls and rings. She loves her toys, but needs to be monitored as she also likes to try to eat them.  Ideally, we would like to see Sasha placed as an only dog. However, she might do well with the right other dog and good structure in the home. She does best with male canine companions. Sasha is kid-friendly but due to her size we are recommending older kids 10+ at this time.  Adoption fee $150, Sasha is spayed and current on vaccines. ##2138074##

Story
Mia is a 2 year old pure bred German Shepherd dog. She is a little shy and aloof when meeting new people but is not reactive and is calm, gentle and submissive. She is housebroken and excels at recall, sitting, and staying on command. Mia struggles with anxiety and is anxious during car rides. She also has some separation anxiety and can be mildly destructive in the house when left alone, as she loves her chew toys and needs to be supervised. She thrives on routine, with a set potty schedule and bedtime, and is looking for a patient, experienced shepherd adopter. She must be the only pet in the home. Older children okay. Adoption fee $150, Mia is spayed and current on vaccines. ##2138069##

Story
Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
He’s got so much life and want him to be able to run free and continue receiving lots of loving from good people. He’s pure bred German Shep. DOB: 12/20/16 Potty trained, Partially trained- knows sit, down, heel, paw, up(jump), break/eat. He’s not new to cats/dogs but will take adjusting to them. It’s a hit or miss with them. I do not recommend if you have an animal already who is very territorial and will not accept Major. I want this to be an easy transition for him. He’s a social butterfly and LOVES getting pets and attention. Great with kids (he grew up with them most of his life from babies to young kids) Everything we have for Major will be transferred to new owner (toy, food/supplies, treats, bed, cleaning supplies etc) but prefers to sleep on hardwood and tiles. Please serious inquiries only.

Story
Luna is the one on the right. Black with brindle legs. She is a mixed breed, including Malinois and German Shepherd. She is a highly intelligent, extremely sweet girl. She is a huge cuddlier, loves to play, and loves everyone that says hi to her. Gets along great with other dogs and loves kids and toddlers as well. Ok with cats. She is very laid back, especially for a puppy, but can be high energy when its play time. Good on a leash and able to be walked by kids, it can use some training on focus while on walks. Understands to go potty outside, but will still have a few accidents. She is crate trained. Need to rehome due to family situation , where we can not care for her to what she deserves. She is a special dog with the sweetest disposition. If you are looking for a lap dog who is loving and loyal, she would be perfect. I do have her DNA results as well, if wanted. Crate can be given with her for $25.

Story
Hi there! I'm Bonnie, a mix of German Shepherd and Husky with the sweetest brown eyes you'll ever see. I'm making great progress with house-training and crate training—I've mastered eating in my crate and sleeping through the night like a pro. I absolutely love playing with other dogs and I'm super friendly. Walks are an adventure for me, and although I start with a lot of energy, I find my rhythm and enjoy the journey. I'm also very vocal and love to keep you entertained with my chatter. Kids are wonderful, and I have a big personality that shines through in everything I do. I adore cuddling with my human and bringing joy to their life. My enthusiasm is infectious, and I have a special knack for making people laugh. Let's keep working on my training together, and I'll continue being the lovable, energetic, and talkative pup that I am! Please read the requirements on our website www.huskyhavenfl.org/adopt to ensure you meet puppy criteria. The adoption fee is $500, which includes: Vaccines & boosters (our vet) Microchip Fecal test Spay Leash, collar, and HHOFL tag To apply: Pay the $25 here on our website or via Facebook DONATE button Send a screenshot of the $25 payment to our email huskyhavenfl@gmail.com Only then we will process the application. Please know the $25 application fee is NOT a guarantee and it's NOT refundable. Thank you for your understanding. We charge an application fee for puppies because people do not read the post and the criteria in its entirety. So instead of getting 100s of unqualified apps which our volunteers take lots of time to process, this would reduce the amount of those that are not unqualified. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Hi, I'm Eclipse! My brothers and sisters and I were dropped off in a rural neighborhood to fen for ourselves when a good samaritan reached out to Second Chance to help us. Now we have been vetted, received our shots and boosters, we've seen the vet, and have been neutered! I also come with a registered microchip and a full set of vet records for you and my new vet. I'm a very sweet and smart pup, I'm the most calm of all the pups. I will likely be about 60-80 pounds when fully grown, no DNA test has been done, so this weight is just a guess - as well as my breed. I will be a large breed adult dog, so will require room inside and out. Since I am a large breed puppy and possibly a restricted breed (Shepherd mix), I will require an adopter who owns their own home, no renters. If you would like to meet me and my siblings, please complete an adoption application. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a meet and greet. Looking forward to meeting you! Note: Incomplete applications will not be reviewed and will be deleted. Adoption Requirements: - 25 years and older - Homeowner only, no renters - Preferably big dog experience - Preferably fenced in yard ##2045117##
