Story
Gibson is the best of both breeds, a 1 year old German Shepherd/Labrador mix, who is a bundle of energy and affection. He is super handsome and goofy, his favorite things in the world are running around the yard and playing fetch, making friends with people and other dogs and snuggling after a long day of fun and games. He truly brings joy and laughter to everyone he meets. Gibson is fully vaccinated, create trained, housebroken and ready to bring lots of happiness into someone's life. He's perfect for an active family who can match his enthusiasm and daily shenanigans. After meeting him, you'll understand why everyone falls in love with him instantly. He was originally adopted out from our rescue as a little puppy but grew too much too soon and quickly became too much for his current family. He needs someone experienced with large breeds and committed to giving him an active life that he so much wants and needs. His adoption fee is $250. Story
Meet Griswold! He is estimated to be around 10 months old and came to us from a shelter in Georgia. He was flown to Daytona Beach by Pilots N Paws and was a perfect passenger. He originally went to a foster to adopt home but it was quickly determined that it was not a good match as his prey drive for cats was too intense, so we moved him to a different home. His transition from one place to another was stressful, he was anxious and nervous and it took him a few weeks to finally settle in, so there is a chance that he will go through the same stage when he goes to his forever home. And this is why we need a family who is a 100% committed to him and will not bounce him around. Griswold will need work on crate training and consistent reinforcement to help him adjust comfortably. We have discovered that having another dog in a crate next to him is a comfort zone so another dog in the household is a must. Another thing we learned about him while in foster care is that he always wants to be close to you and will follow you around, no matter what you're doing so if you value your privacy in the bathroom, he is not the dog for you (lol). He is a wonderful walking partner, excellent on a leash, has been around other dogs and he's used to being around a toddler, but as always, due to the herding gene, we suggest that dog and toddler time are always supervised. We are looking for someone who has time and devotion to fit Griswold into their daily routine. He is located in Edgewater, FL and ready for meets and greets. His adoption fee is $300. Adoption requirements and application are located on our website at www.dbgsdrescue.org

Story
Meet Marcel and Snoop, 3 month old brothers who should be named BIG and RESPONSIBILITY. Because that is what all puppies are. Since their your lives started out at the shelter and most likely with no doggie mom around, these guys need constant training, supervision and interaction. Both will require work on housebreaking, basic commands, socialization with people and other dogs and recognition on unwanted behaviors that will need to be properly corrected. If you are considering one of the boys (they are available to separate homes), please ask yourself how much time can you devote to a new puppy, considering your current lifestyle. Marcel and Snoop are going to be a 10+ year commitment and as they grow, their needs will change, so please keep that in mind. At this stage of their lives, they are mischievous, may chew, dig and bark as part of their natural behavior so patience and It is important to provide consistent training and positive reinforcement to guide them effectively understanding of raising a puppy is definitely a requirement. Adopting Marcel or Snoop will be incredibly rewarding (just think of all the snuggles) but it is important to ensure that their families are fully prepared so we will be very specific on their forever homes. We always encourage our pups to go to homes with other well balanced dogs. These pups are located in foster homes in Port Orange and their adoption fee is $300 each. The boys are available separately Foster to adopt requirements and application are located on our website at www.dbgsdrescue.org.

Story
Donner is approximately 11 month old adorable young fella.  He is a large mixed breed (shepherd/lab).  He does well with another dog to play and snuggle with. His brother Charlie Brown, available for adoption, would be a candidate.  He seems to do well with cats.  A fenced yard is a major plus.  If you'd like adopt Donner, please fill out an application at aylasacres.org. ##1983936##

Story
Star is a gentle giant with a big heart. She’ll bring great joy and companionship to your home. We’ve enjoyed our time with her but unfortunatley where we are moving to where there isnt nearly enough space for her. She is accustomed to having a big yard to run around in and gets along great with other animals. Star is truly a great dog and will be a great addition to any family she joins.
