She meshes well with our two dogs and has demonstrated that she's loyal, kind, and gentle. She walks politely on a leash, and quickly makes friends at the dog park too. Her backstory is sad because she was  rescued from a neighboring farm where she had been living in solute in a barn. When she first came to us, she was anxious and clingy from being left alone. She is now happy and healthy and loves others deeply. She currently is taking an allergy medication called Apoquel and doing well. She doesn’t need to be kenneled during the day or at night but would do well with someone home often.       August 18, 2024, 8:39 pm

Story
I gotten jax when he was just a puppy about 8 months old from a farm by Mitchell south dakota. I have had jax every since, he's been a very good dog after getting his energy out he walks around, sits next to me outside and hasn't ever bitten anyone even kids. He has been around my friends kid (who's about 4 years old) never bit him just had knocked him down before aswell as a couple other friends kids and my sisters 1 year old. He likes to get on his hind legs alot but other than that he has been nothing but gentle and the sweetest dog ever after exercise

Story
Scout is a very lovable German shepherd pup. He enjoys being outside, belly rubs, and lots of treats. He requires a lot of attention as he has separation anxiety. He would love someone to be home with him for the majority of the day to give him endless belly rubs. He will need to be fed in his kennel as he has slight food aggression. He would also do best in a home with older kids who don’t drop food on the ground, as he will immediately run over to get it as he is a “vacuum.” He loves being called “Scout pout” and loves when you ask him “would you like a Bewwy Wub” Scout is working on kennel training and will give you those big puppy dog eyes and try to hide on you when you need to put him to bed. He is also working on being friendly with other dogs. Most importantly scout has a big heart. It is easy to become his best friend. If you are looking for a lovable forever friend please get to know Scout. This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered & up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $500. Story
Hello! I am Jonathan. I have made my journey here to Minnesota to find a family of my very own. I was found on the side of the road in Alabama with severely burned paws. An amazing family took me in and got me feeling much, much better! I currently live in a home with my foster mom and dad, 2 human kids, 4 other dogs (both big and small) and a cat. I LOVE playing in my yard with the other dogs! I am still trying to get used to my kennel, to be honest it really isn’t my favorite thing in the world. I will go in there when my foster mom gives me treats but I will usually bark and cry. Thankfully, my foster mom and dad have been letting me sleep on the couch or my dog bed at night so I only have to be in the kennel when they’re at work. I also love to snuggle with my foster mom… she keeps telling me that I’m the biggest lap dog she’s ever had, whatever that means. I am fully housebroken. I will usually whine and pace to let you know I need to go outside. I am working on my leash etiquette, I always forget that I am a big boy and it’s not very comfortable for my foster mom or me when I pull. Any who, that’s enough about me for now, I’d love to meet you and get to know you! You should contact Warrior Dog Rescue to set up a meeting with my foster momma and me so we can chat more! See you soon!Jonathan is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. His treatment has been completed and he will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on his treatment progress until he has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure his heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Jonathan will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/
