Story
Holly is a stunning long-haired German Shepherd with a personality as fabulous as her fluffy coat! This girl is bursting with sass—in the best way possible. She’s confident, clever, and full of charm, and she’s looking for a family who will appreciate her bold spirit and big heart. Holly could do well with a well-matched canine sibling and has also done well with kids. She’s just looking for that special home where she can strut her stuff, be loved for who she is, and give back all the loyalty and affection in true shepherd fashion. If you're ready for a dog with flair, brains, and a whole lot of love to give, Holly’s waiting to meet you!

Story
FAPS is stoked to drop our totally 90s-themed puppy pack! We're talking 11 German Shepherd puppies—each rockin' a bomb 90s name—plus their fly mom, Jessica! Jessica had been our elusive "radar" for months, roaming near Rayconda and Wells Place. After a determined group effort, she was finally captured, and on that very day, puppies were discovered nestled under a shed. It was as if divine intervention saved them from the January cold. A Few Important Details: 🐕‍🦺Breed: Mom is a German Shepherd and puppies are German Shepherds Mixes. (The dad’s breed? Still a mystery!) 📍Local Adoptions Only: These puppies will only be adopted within Cumberland County, NC. This is because they will go home on a foster-to-adopt basis until they're old enough for their spay/neuter surgeries at 3 months of age. We're firm on this, no exceptions. ➡️Application Process: FAPS does not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. To meet these precious pups at the shelter, you must first submit an application. 🛑Contact: We’re swamped with inquiries, so please check our website for all the information—no calls or messages, thanks! 🐾Requirements: Every household member (including any other pets) must meet our standards (up-to-date vaccines, heartworm prevention, spay/neuter proof, and if renting, a valid pet policy). Puppies Are a Big Responsibility: These energetic pups need a family committed to socialization, routine, and training. Remember, a puppy’s first 2 years shape their future behavior—so if you’re not ready for the dedication (and the occasional chewed shoe or accident in the home!), consider an older dog instead! The foundation you build during these formative years directly influences how your dog will behave as an adult. This is not a light responsibility. Are you ready to give these high-spirited furballs and Jessica a forever home?

Story
Beckham is a three-year-old, 55-pound, German Shepherd and Black Mouth Cur Mix. FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED. Beckham is 3-year-old German Shepherd and Blackmouth Cur who weighs 55 pounds. If football icon David Beckham had a dog, we’re pretty sure he’d be a lot like our Beckham. With his classic British name, his ruggedly handsome face and those ever- alert ears, Beckham is an up-for-every-adventure kind of boy. Like his soccer-legend namesake, Beckham just naturally draws a crowd of admirers. Affectionate, playful, brave, and loyal, this smart boy is always ready for a game of ball, a good walk, a spin in the car or just a snuggle on the couch. With so much goodness in his nature, you might ask, “What is Beckham best at?” The answer is simple: Beckham is best at being your Best Friend! And while Beckham can be perfectly content with just you, he will also thrive with an active family, a big, fenced yard and (if it’s not too much to ask) a playful lady dog. Trained by one of the best, Beckham is an absolute joy and had excellent house, crate and leash manners, as well as basic commands and overall happy behavior. So, if you’d love a bit of British flair and fun in your life, please don’t wait. Come meet Beckham today. And let the games begin! Beckham is not part of CrisisDogsNC. This is a courtesy posting on behalf of his foster. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Adonis is a 4-year-old 53lb German Shepherd mix. Adonis is a beautiful shepherd mix who had a rough start in life and is looking for his forever home where he can be safe. If you're a GSD lover and want to give Adonis a chance for a happy home, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Story
Missy is a 3 year old, 63 lb. German Shepherd. Missy is an absolutely gorgeous lady who, like your typical German Shepherd, loves to be near her people all the time! She is a total sweetheart and seamlessly fits right as a member of the family. She loves playing fetch and running around her yard and because of her breed will need a fenced yard in her forever home. She lived outside for most of her short life before coming to the rescue and now is enjoying her cushy indoor life so much! Missy would love nothing more than to lounge with her family on the couch or a dog bed at night while winding down from the day. She does well with other similarly sized dogs, but doesn't like cats or small animals. She would happily play with her people or other big dogs and if you like walks or hikes, Missy would happily tag along! She walks well on a leash, but sometimes gets excited when going on an adventure and will pull a bit to lead the way, but she can easily be redirected. Missy is 100% potty-trained and crate-trained and has great house manners when her foster family has to leave during the day. She is always patiently awaiting their return though, because she just loves her humans so much! If you are ready for an easy-going, gorgeous girl who will love you to the ends of the earth, apply to meet Missy today! Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/.
