Story
This is MACON! The handsomest 2 year old male who is a very striking breed of dog and dog. Seriously, we're not sure his breed but we know he'll be a larger pup and he's wonderful. Macon was found running down the middle of the highway in Macon County, was found by some kind souls who took him in. Macon loves other dogs and kids, but he has a bit too much energy for the good Samaritans that found him. He foster sister is a 13 year old Chi that Macon is very respectful to, but the Chi is a bit cantankerous and doesn't like to share. Macon knows his manners, caught on to the basics very quickly, he knows to sit, stay and other basic commands. He absolutely LOVES toys. His fosters say he could chase a tennis ball or frisbee forever (fetch level pro) but he does very well when let inside to cuddle on the couch too. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. SAMMIE IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    "Hey there, I'm Sammie! I am a social butterfly who loves every dog I meet and really hope my future home has other pups to play with! In my foster home, my favorite times are snuggle time, playtime, and dinner time! I'm a pro at cleaning my plate. I am a bit curious about the resident kitty in my foster home, but I promise I've never been anything but polite! I'm well versed in 'sit' and adore a game of fetch. Give me a backyard, and I'll run myself into nap time. While I've got a sweet side, I've also been known to channel my inner American Ninja Warrior and take a hop over short fences. I need to be watched!   I've made many furry and human friends in my foster home, and they all seem to think I'm great! I'm working on mastering the leash and to not bark, but I am getting into the crate when asked! If you have a couch and endless love to give, I'm ready to be yours!"   He is estimated to be between 2-3 years old and 65 lbs. He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, and all shots including rabies shot. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Sammie up north after he is adopted.     To apply to adopt Sammie, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .     THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

COOKIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!   Hello, my name is Cookie and I’m here to sweep you off your feet. I am a 2 year old german shepherd around 65 pounds! I’m looking for my forever home and family to call my own! I’ve still got some energy and I’m always ready for an adventure. Whether it’s chasing a ball, exploring the great outdoors, or learning new things, count me in! I’m super smart and a quick learner – especially if treats are involved. I already know a few basic commands. I’m not just about playtime; I’m a cuddler too! Belly rubs? Yes, please! I thrive on human attention and will happily sit in your lap – even if I’m a bit bigger than your average lap dog. I also walk good on a leash! I love playing with toys, but a kong with frozen peanut butter, is my favorite! I love playing with other dogs of all sizes. I get very excited that I may knock little ones down, I’m truly a dog that doesn’t meet a stranger. I have not yet been around cats. Cookie’s loving personality and irresistible charm will bring happiness to those lucky enough to have her in their lives. Cookie is sure to become a beloved member of a family for years to come. ROCKY IS  IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!   Hi! My name is Rocky although my foster mom mostly calls me puppy! I was the runt of the litter, the underdog, hence my name Rocky but I am big in personality! My siblings foster mom did a DNA test and I have some German Shepard in me! My foster mom knows that to be true because I am extremely smart! I learned how to sit in one afternoon! I do very well with other dogs and wish I had a sibling to play with! I have never been on a leash because I will stay at close range with my foster mommy when she takes me outside. I don’t run off and I immediately come when called! I have lots of puppy energy, but I don’t jump up on my mommy’s guests! I’m pretty chill for a puppy and my foster mommy says I’m a good boy! I am crate trained, I will stay in my crate all night without whining! I’m ready for my furever home! I’m going to miss my border collie and lab foster siblings but I’m very dog friendly to any breed! Please consider me, you won’t regret it! I am fully vetted, and ready for my next adventure. Vetting includes  spaying/neutering ,  microchip, rabies as well as all puppy vaccinations, and has been on preventatives. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Rocky up north to his new family. Story
Age: 4 months Size: 25 lbs Estimated breed: Shepherd/Pit bull mix   Introducing our Gilmore Girls litter! Rory had a rough start to life. Her mama was a german shepherd who lived in a outdoor kennel and became pregnant by a stray pit bull. When Rory was only a few weeks old, her mama got loose from the kennel and was unfortunately struck and killed by a car, leaving Rory and her siblings orphaned. Her human owners kept them fed and as warm as they could outside, but Rory deserves more than that. We agreed to take her into rescue so she can find a forever home!    Rory is 4 months old and weighs around 25 lbs. She is a german shepherd/pit bull mix, so we anticipate she will be a large dog when full-grown. She loves playing with her siblings, meeting new people, and learning everything a young dog needs to know. She's in foster care with children and a cat and does great with them both. Rory is looking for a forever home with the time, patience, and love to train her into the best girl she can be!    To adopt Rory, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our dogs. Story
Luna Mia has a sad story. She was first rescued as a puppy from a farm where she was living by herself in a chicken coop. The farmer planned on breeding her once she was old enough. She was frightened and not socialized. She came to this rescue very nervous and frightened of everything. She learned to trust people here, and was adopted by wonderful people who named her Mia. Sadly after a couple of years her owner passed away unexpectedly, Mia was with her when that happened. She was traumatized and confused. The owner's husband could not keep her and returned her to the rescue. Luna-Mia got re-aquainted with the kennel and the caretakers/volunteers here. She is happy here but would love her own home again. Luna-Mia is housebroken, well mannered, and a wonderful dog once she learns to trust a new person. Until she does trust someone new, she shows "fear aggression" though she has become better about getting to know new people, and sometimes she warms up to a new person very quickly. Luna-Mia is looking for that perfect home for her. She should have a secure fenced yard for safety since she is a fearful dog. No children. and she would prefer to be the only pet. Luna-Mia will make someone very happy, she is a wonderful dog for someone who can give her a little time to adjust to her new home. She will be a wonderful companion, she loves to go on long walks, hang out quietly, and go on car rides!

Story
Ruger was rescued from a shelter - He is a handsome purebred German Shepherd who appears to be from working lines. He is @ 5 years old, neutered male. Ruger came into the rescue very fearful and he is still nervous with strangers approaching him - however once he warms up to someone he is very good natured. He is very well mannered on his walks, and does very well ignoring strangers and other dogs. In general he will prefer to be the only pet, but he does go out in the yard with other large dogs (females) who are dog friendly and he does very well. Ruger is not good with cats or small animals, or livestock. Due to his temperament and size, children in the home should be over 12. Ruger loves long walks, playing ball and car rides. Ruger will be a wonderful active companion for the right person who has experience with German Shepherds.

🐾BRUTUS🖤 Brutus is a 2 year old Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix according to his embark testing! He’s a big cuddly goofball and loves to make his humans laugh! 🥰 This lanky boy is very smart and loves to do training/learn new things and keep his brain busy, which makes sense with his awesome breed mix! He’s very affectionate and loves to follow his person around and cuddle. He rides great in the car and is fully crate and housetrained. 💯 Brutus is a great swimmer and loves to play fetch in the water, his foster is currently training him for dock diving! Despite being very active and having lots of energy he has a great off switch, too. He can get excited very easily and has some manners that need work but his foster mama is having so much fun training him & he’s learning quickly. 🐶 If you’re interested in dog sports, Brutus would be a great match for you! Especially if you’re a beginner - he is so eager to learn and please.🥰 For his forever family, Brutus is seeking an active home with someone who is willing to keep up with his training and give him plenty of exercise. He thrives when staying active both physically and mentally. He does great with all sizes of dogs & older kids. He is a very social boy and would do great with some dog friends in his home! 🏡 Does Brutus sound like the adventure buddy you’ve been looking for? 🫶🏼 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
