Story
Buck is estimated between 3 and 4, definitely still a young buck, if you will! Buck is unfortunately returning to us from his adopter due to some herding behaviors! Because of these behaviors (nipping legs/grabbing the leash), Buck is ONLY available to a breed experienced home. He was very loved, and bonds strongly (as all GSDs do!) Buck needs a fair, educated, and confident handler to continue his OB. When initially tested, his ball and toy drive was minimal, but the tides have turned and he'll play ball all day! Buck is not suitable for a home with prey animals or children. He is dog neutral/ok with proper intros to non dominant dogs.

Story
Very very sweet boy who just loves to run and play, would do very well in a house with kids (11 and up) to play and be rambunctious with. With the state my mental health is in I can’t take proper care of him as far as walking and playing with him goes. I still exercise him but it’s not as much as he should be getting and I just can’t afford him. He is almost 3 years old, his birthday is June 25 he was born in 2022. He LOVES people and other dogs, if you have a friendly dog of any size who is looking for a playmate he’s perfect!

Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 4/8/2024 Reason for being in rescue: breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Veronica is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Veronic has daily eye drops for dry eye. Veronica has a perianal hernia. She is on sensitive stomach non-hydrolysed protein food from Science Diet.  Weight: 85 lbs Height: 22 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? No, but Veronica loves to sun bath and would absolutely love and fenced in yard. What kind of home would be best for me? If you are a well-acquainted German Shepard lover, look no further.  Veronica is looking for a home with someone familiar with her breed. Veronica would do well in a home with an playful canine buddy to run around and play with, or as an only dog. Another German Shepherd would be ideal for her, or a poodle as she has learned to love them here with us on the poodle farm. Veronica will fit right into your life whether you are single, a couple, or a family. She would be a great family dog and she would love children. Veronica is a loving, sweet, and kind girl. She does fine with large dogs and small dogs. The same is true with cats, Veronica is very curious and cautious around them. She is a loving soul all around. What is my personality like? Veronica has learned love and care from the staff here at CPR an that is all she is looking for. Veronica loves to follow you where ever you go. She wants to be involved and loves to make sure you don't need any help with your tasks. Veronica is a gentle girl that love attention.  Veronica is learning leash manners and would benefit from additional leash training with her adopter. Veronica has learned how to sit, and the word come, but she will need to be taught other basic queues like stay and down.  Veronica does well with a routine so having a set schedule will be a huge benefit for her. Veronica needs a loving home and a loving adopter(s) to allow her to develop into a wonderful girl. We have no doubt Veronica will become your loving companion and enrich your life in oh so many ways.  How do I act when I first meet new people?  Veronica is happy to see everyone she meets, she is fine with people and loves being loved on! Other tips and tidbits: Veronica was born on 10/6/2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. March 21, 2025, 11:05 am

Story
Bane is a young MalX pulled from a shelter in NC. He's a spirited and energetic guy who needs an active family. He's got a high ball drive, but doesn't prefer to work for food. Dog friendly and takes appropriate corrections. In a foster with cats and does okay with dog savvy felines and supervision! This young dude needs a family of his own to bond grow, and be goofy with! He likes the water, and loves to be outside. If you're looking for your next adventure buddy, Bane's your boy! Due to his ball drive and lack of current 'out' command, Bane is not a candidate for a household with young or small children. He has tons of energy to burn, and will make someone a really cool sport prospect for rally, barn hunt, fastCAT, or even dock diving. Pretty solid and confident environmentally. Bane does not enjoy the kennel life, and will only be considered to homes where he will live inside (he is crate trained and safe in crates). Fostered in Greenville SC area, available for out of state adoption
