Story
Peak slunk back in the corner of her kennel at first…terrified…one of our amazing volunteers is a German Shepherd whisperer. She coaxed her out of the kennel & convinced Peak that we were ok. It has been a complete transformation. She now readily gives kisses, wants to be petted, & wants to go outside with the volunteers. She was skittish of my first touch but now tries to paw at me for attention when I walk by. She is truly a gentle, loving girl. She loves to cool off by standing in the kiddie pool. She is a female German Shepherd in. Peak is heartworm positive.

Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 3/4/2024 Reason for being in rescue: breeder release/breeder reducing size of kennel Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Olivia is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Olivia is not hypoallergenic and does shed. Weight: 53 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Olivia requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller What kind of home would be best for me? Olivia is a sweet and loving girl, with little experience in the human world. She loves sitting in the grass soaking up the sun and pets or finding a good hiding spot in the shade to sleep out her day. Olivia thrives in an environment with other dogs and follows them intently. Olivia pictures her life with another dog in the home and a stable consistent routine. Olivia loves car rides, especially to Lowe's or Home Depot. Like she LOVES car rides! She will lay down in the back seat or look out the window at the passing trees. In the times she isn't in the car going on a new adventure Olivia loves to spend her time outside. She loves a good romp in the grass before finding a spot to lay in the shade. Olivia wants the simple life, a trip to the store and then to lay out in the backyard next to a fire pit and her furry companion while you make smore's. What is my personality like? Olivia is a strikingly beautiful big girl with one blue eye that gives her a stunning look. This lovely lady is looking for some patience and understanding in her life. Olivia received little socialization in her short life. She lived a quiet life in a kennel with her buddies.  She has always loved anyone new she has met and just wants to give them as much affection as possible. She has blossomed considerably since first arriving at CPR.  Olivia gets along extremely well with other dogs and loves to play with them. She loves a good stuffy to rip up and play with. She is eager to learn how to sit and lay down, and she knows it will be a blast to learn how to walk by your side on a leash. Olivia does pull when on a lead and will need some guidance here. She can't help herself, there's just so much new to see in this wonderful world. Olivia wants to experience it all with you by her side! How do I act when I first meet new people? Olivia is friendly with people whether man or woman adult or teen. We haven't seen her interact with younger kids, but she has met many teens before and did amazing! Olivia can seem a little aloof in completely new environments, but patience is all she asks for! Five minutes later and you can't get her off of your lap! Other tips and tidbits: Olivia was born on 5/14/2022. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. August 20, 2024, 7:27 am

Yes, Jackie requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Living life aa a Poodle German Shepherd has made things fun for Jackie. Striving to fit into any situation Jackie finds it easy to mold into whatever human or dog needs from her. Jackie loves attention from anyone or anything she can get it from - human or four legged! Jackie wants to simply experience life and however that looks for you sounds great top her. Jackie loves her poodle and non-poodle furry friends; therefore, we know Jackie would absolutely love a home where she can have a pawed companion! Though we do not think it is necessarily required Jackie would NEED playdates and perhaps doggy daycare if she does not have a friend at home with her! She always has faired better with her friends than by herself and she loves to follow their determined lead into new situations! She has never lived without her he siblings and besides who doesn't love having someone to talk too on those boring days where you can't annoy mom and dad! We haven't seen Jackie interact with children, but our expectation is that she will love kids, she has a sweet and loving personality that seems just right for children. After she has had time to settle in and adjust to her new home, we expect she'll enjoy playtime with them. From running in the back yard to hikes in the mountains or simply lounging on the beach!  Jackie does shed and will need to be in a home where shedding does not cause allergy reactivity!  What is my personality like? Jackie has a sweet and caring personality that makes it hard not to love her! She will happily greet you ever chance she gets and on the days where you've been gone too long, she will jump up to hug you. We are working getting her to show her love and excitement differently! Jackie is just kind, and there is no other way to put it! She loves love, and she loves life and that is all she wants in return!  How do I act when I first meet new people? Jackie can be a little nervous upon first meeting people, but she warms up quickly. Very quickly. She does well with both men and women, and we expect her to be fine with kids. Just give Jackie some time to adjust and learn and you'll soon be rewarded with a new BFF. Other tips and tidbits: Jackie was born on 6/29/2022. House trained?
