Story
Meet Millie!- 6 months- Black GSD Millie is available in our Puppy Adoption program due to her young age. We saved her from euthanasia at a overcapacity shelter where she was completely shut down sharing an outside kennel with 7 dogs. She was afraid of everything at first but with lots of love and attention in her foster home she has really blossomed. She loves to play with other dogs, is on the submissive side in play, and enjoys cuddling with you every chance she gets! Watch out for her gentle paw if you stop belly rubs she will let you know to keep going! :) Suprisingly as a puppy she tends to go to bed early on her own and sometimes will put herself in her kennel and go to sleep. She does well in her kennel and does give you good indications when she needs to go to the bathroom. She is still learning how a leash works and how much fun walks can be, and with time we know she will gain her confidence with all the new smells and sounds she encounters on her adventures! Millie is such a bright and cheery girl that is so excited to find her forever family and furry companion(s) to call home! Approval Requirements for GSRTX puppies: -Not left alone for long periods of time -Another large breed playful dog for socialization -Preferably a yard to play so no apartments please Interested in adding Millie to your family? Start the process by filling out an application at www.gsrtx.org/adoption-application for approval. He is eager to play, overly friendly, and knows basic commands. He believes he’s a lap dog. Be ready to snuggle with this boy and having an excited companion when you get home! He does his signature kangaroo hop as soon as you walk through the door. He is crate trained but has been left out with no issues in the home when alone. Banner is an all around great addition to a family and with his age you will be through the puppy phase.  Interested in adding Banner to your family? Start the process by filling out an application at www.gsrtx.org/adoption-application for approval. Story
"Hi, my name is Ethel and I am a gorgeous baby girl who is looking for a loving home to call my own. Even though I am just a puppy, I am quiet and brave and very curious about the world around me. I am good with other dogs, but I am a bit shy, so I might need some extra time to warm up to new friends. If you're looking for a sweet and gentle companion, please consider adopting me. I am excited to find my forever home and begin my life's journey with you."

Story
Hello there! My name is Mae & I`m the shelter`s FIRST EVER `Mini` German Shepherd :) A few days after I was brought into the shelter, I began throwing up my food so the staff took me to the vet to make sure I was in good health. They were really worried about me because I appear to be a 4-5 month old German Shepherd puppy, and they thought maybe I had contracted a parasite, infection, or virus... turns out, ALL of their assumptions were wrong. After a full health scan, including bone x-rays, they discovered a few things: First, and most important, I wasn`t sick - just inhaling my food & upsetting my stomach to the point where I threw up. Secondly, they realized that I was an adult, probably around 18 months old. I do extremely well with other dogs, both big & small, and I absolutely love getting attention from the girls here at the shelter! I`m everything you could ever hope to find in a German Shepherd, all in one fun-sized package! If I sound like your kind of girl, please come down to the shelter to meet me & prepare to fall in love!
