REPORTED BY FORMER OWNER:Gentle, loving and caring. Best in a home with someone that is there most of the time. Enjoys being outside. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Sweet Athena is nervous here; the sooner she can find a home, the better. She would appreciate a relatively quiet home with older, dog-savvy children. It takes her a moment to warm up to you and once she does, she will stick to you like glue! She has a medium energy level and is gentle when taking treats. She’s very scared of cats and neutral toward the other dogs here at the shelter. Weighs 73 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Story
I hope you're having a great day! I've got some exciting news to share with you, but before that, did you know that German Shepherd Dogs were the first guide dogs in the 1920s? And the best part is, my half-siblings are still a popular choice today! Being part of this legacy has been an amazing experience, and I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter with you. I can't wait to spend some quality time with you in the near future. Just imagine the fun we'll have on our daily walks, playing catch on a sunny Sunday afternoon, or simply enjoying the outdoors. I promise to be your faithful companion every step of the way, and I'm not just saying that because I'm an excellent buddy. I've got a charming personality, and I'm devilishly handsome with a lush coat that craves daily brushing! I understand that life can sometimes be lonely, but I'm here to keep you company with my cuddles and hugs. I know what it feels like to be alone - I was just recently living on the streets all by myself. But now I'm ready and willing to be your best friend. And if you're looking for a new human friend, then you're in luck! With my good looks, I'll make the perfect wingman by making new friends for you wherever we go. People can't resist my soft, gentle brown eyes, and I just love making new friends. I've had my share of ups and downs, but I'm excited to start a new journey with you. One day, I got separated from my previous family and lost my way. It was a challenging time, but I was fortunate enough to make many friends along the way. I played with children, walked with moms and babies, hung out with teenagers, and even shared lunch with construction workers. The neighbors were kind enough to invite me over for dinner, and lay cozy beds on their front porches for me to sleep at night. I felt loved and cared for.    I'm ready to get back to work and make your life better. So let's make some unforgettable memories together! Fill out my application and bring me home today. Time is ticking, and I don't want to miss out on any of the amazing adventures that we'll have together. I'm 10 years old, HW- and vaccines up-to-date, and I can't wait to start a new chapter with you! ##2039507##

Story
Say hello to Junior!  He is incredibly sweet and smart.  This adorable boy can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up you will feel all the love he has to give.  Junior has learned a few tricks and if you have a yummy treat he will be glad to show them to you.  Our adorable boy is also crate traned (not his favorite place as he loves to be part of the action, but will sleep very well in it).  This smart boy is also leash train and does very well in the car.  He will be an incredible fit for any family.    Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Canada (Canadian adopters will meet us in Bellingham, WA). We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.   Our adoption fee includes transport and a Health Certificate from a local vet to certify your new pet is clear to travel accross state lines. If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to www.springbranchrescue.org ##1451332##

Story
Amberlee 801-989-4308Talia is a goofball. Is there was ever a dog that was once a cat in another life that’s how I would explain Talia. She’s super sweet and very docile. Shes about 7 years old and I’m not sure of her birthday though. (She was adopted) She’s happy to bathe in the sun and relax on her comfy dog bed all day. She doesn’t like hard floors much so carpet is her sanctuary. She’s ok around other dogs but she is scared of them and sometimes doesn’t have a bubble and acts out in aggression. And all though she’s good around children she will let them know if they are bothering her. She’s like a cute little old lady that just likes things in routine and the same day after day. She loves to snuggle up and watch a movie with you and she is the best dog on a leash ever! She’s such a sweetie girl and perfect for someone not as act ive but gets out once in a while for a nice walk.

Story
Hello! My name is Mav and Im a 5-6 year old Shepherd mix and I'm such a good boy. I am crate trained, but I am trustworthy to be left in the house when gone and prefer that. I don't mark and have never had an accident. I get along great with kids. My family had to return me because they are in the military and moved overseas. I am great with most dogs and possibly with dog savvy cats. I am a big guy and love to play fetch or with toys, so having a yard would be best. I'm such a smart boy with medium energy. My foster family takes me on a daily short walk, provides me toys, and throws the ball a few times per day in the backyard and I am good. I walk well on a leash and I come when called. I also enjoy looking out the window and taking naps. What's not to love? Do you think you could give me some love and a soft place to lay my head? I would be so grateful and the most loyal companion. To meet Mav, fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationAugust 19, 2024, 7:00 am

Story
Meet Gracie, a 3-year-old German Shepherd who is the perfect mix of affection, playfulness, and devotion. She's an overall confident and happy dog who wants to share her love with you. Gracie loves being outside, going for walks and she LOVES to play. A fenced yard and rousing game of fetch brings her great joy - she'll drop her ball at your feet and gaze at you with those soulful eyes while patiently waiting for you to take your turn. Treats are not a big thing for her but she is motivated by toys. Gracie is a stunning beauty at 65 pounds - she's physically and mentally strong, and needs humans who will continue to teach her how to walk politely on leash and who will keep her brain occupied through mental activities. She sometimes forgets her house manners and will try to get on a counter or other high surface, but she's a good listener who takes correction well. Gracie absolutely loves her people and she promises that you will be the apple of her eye, and asks that she be yours in return. She does not like to share your attention with other animals, and should be the only pet in the home. Gracie is fully house trained and crate trained, and quiet in the house. If you're looking for a canine companion to share your life with, Gracie is ready to become your steadfast and loving friend. To meet Gracie, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
